@Fast355 You have to consider though your adding a cam with a custom tune, not a cam with a base tune so power gains are quite large, also you've got a rwd not awd. For this truck to put 420hp to the wheels it would have to have nearly 520 at the crank. Now the truck easily could of run a 14.9 with the mods it has but that's a lot of weight reduction. BUT considering my Durango puts down a 318hp (est) and I run a 13.7 in the 1/4 I highly doubt I'd be a full second faster with 1-200 less hp.

Toyota's are overrated. The HEMI is one of the few remaining engines that tuners can take full advantage of without any electronic nannies to worry about. Dodge should've watched the weight of the G2 Durango, if they kept it 300lbs heavier instead of the 610lbs heavier than the first generation it'd be a REAL stormer and I would've traded in my R/T. however, my R/T with a few simple mods is just as fast a new Durango HEMI and looks better too (no offense to those who own one)

@gothemi89 Stock 5.7 is roughly 260 to the wheels, I put down 323 RWHP with nothing more than a Sidewinder cam, Magnaflow Cat-back exhaust, and SCT custom tune. After removing the clutch fan, adding a CAI, and long tubes with 26" long pieces of 3" diameter pipe, "torque tubes" I made 372 RWHP. With the 4.56 gears 1st gear is nearly worthless at WOT.

sweet engine. i have a 2000 with a 5.2l, K&N CAI, Magnaflow Exhaust, and a few other mods. the engine has 125k miles on it right now. when i does out ive been trying to think of what engine i should drop in, and the newer 5.7 hemi engine is a possibilty, along with turboing it or like a 350 or 408, what do you think

Agreed that toyota trucks are over ratted, Toyota cars are pretty reliable. I own Fords, GM,s and Dodges and by far I prefer my Dodges out of all three because they hold up the best and the HEMI and Cummins are the best engines out there.

haha im calling bullshit thoes dodge v8's only have 250 hp cold ait in thakes can get (UP TO) 25 hp thoes chips give u up to 40 hp. so i wanna see a dino sheet?!!
https://i1.ytimg.com/i/uYuuyvBJ98CcLx8GGeEfMw/1.jpg?sz=64
sorry 2 tell u but my buddy has 1 that we have taken 2 the track its a 4.7 and ran a 14.6 with a flowmaster muffler thats the only mod so 420 ha no way
https://gp4.googleusercontent.com/-XxU_Nymfb1Q/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/dt8zptwmKAA/s48-c-k-no/photo.jpg?sz=64
No way in hell this is anywhere near 420hp. I highly doubt its over 280 to the wheels. A tundra 5.7 bone stock eats lightly modded 03-08 hemi trucks.

Hemi power, cant get much better! The toyota tundra is quick dont get me wrong but id still prefer a durango! Very strong engine all round!
https://gp6.googleusercontent.com/-rj4vSrBcQac/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/IFDeSAa1jCQ/s48-c-k-no/photo.jpg?sz=64
I agree, the durango had a strong engine for what it was. The toyota is comparable to it but I would still have to side with the dodge!
https://gp6.googleusercontent.com/-rj4vSrBcQac/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/IFDeSAa1jCQ/s48-c-k-no/photo.jpg?sz=64
naw man this is an 05 with a chip and intake... it will go 0-60 mph in roughly 6.5 in colder weather
https://gp6.googleusercontent.com/-rj4vSrBcQac/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/IFDeSAa1jCQ/s48-c-k-no/photo.jpg?sz=64
I second that. I raced a landrover supercharged with this and it made quick work of it!

Oh yeah and Jet chips don't do shit. Wasted your money. Superchips are proven.

https://i1.ytimg.com/i/urUqL0_ilQ8bWeq5V6A1NA/1.jpg?sz=64
the dodge durango is an SUV and way heavier the hemi would kill a toyota
https://gp3.googleusercontent.com/-CS6DchCVB8U/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/u81wDLa3XYE/s48-c-k-no/photo.jpg?sz=64
@bikesrcooll what? the 5.7 hemi's had 345 and the 09-present have 390.

https://gp3.googleusercontent.com/-wRBoBI4LEoI/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/KxRpFOeu5UU/s48-c-k-no/photo.jpg?sz=64
hemi engines have 1970's technology but they sound nice
https://gp6.googleusercontent.com/-rj4vSrBcQac/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/IFDeSAa1jCQ/s48-c-k-no/photo.jpg?sz=64
Yessir, One of the best models out there! Nice choice!
https://gp6.googleusercontent.com/-rj4vSrBcQac/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/IFDeSAa1jCQ/s48-c-k-no/photo.jpg?sz=64
It is fast I must say. Still prefer the dodge tho!

2007 Dodge Durango Hemi 0-60

I decided to keep going to 70..speed limit was 40 here :-D. Did this with about 800 lbs of people in the back (as you might be able to tell lol). I timed it and i think it ...

@ilicklabia69 thats cuz i had 6 passengers in the car..it now has slightly bigger, more agressive tires so if i did another 0-60 it might not be quite as fast as with stock tires
https://gp6.googleusercontent.com/-A0dmYoMm600/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/33GWsL5PPcs/s48-c-k-no/photo.jpg?sz=64
is it awd? you should launch it, the 0-60 is a tad slow, although you have 800 pounds of "people" thats lot of people haha, nice run
https://gp4.googleusercontent.com/-4bPkcUKOYgk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/oA45nAWBnOw/s48-c-k-no/photo.jpg?sz=64
i think i timed it at 8.5ish because of the people i was haulin but as i said this thing is "suppose" to do it in about 7 i think.
https://gp4.googleusercontent.com/-4bPkcUKOYgk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/oA45nAWBnOw/s48-c-k-no/photo.jpg?sz=64
@clarda1 yeah it is AWD. I'll be uploading another 0-60 once the weather gets warm here.

So all you did was just cut off the muffler? I'm looking to do this on my 2006 Durango. It's just plain too quiet and on a super budget. I love the way it sounds in all of your videos!
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-lyJnW9Poxb8/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAB4/JeKOR7ax6eQ/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Ryan Berry Thanks for the reply. I'm really not sure what I want to do quite yet with it. I'll have to look into it.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-aa2IDXi-dQo/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAACw/r73QGZp-iDI/photo.jpg?sz=64
+ThymastarGT not in this one, the other two videos are with the center muffler deleted. Super cheap but very loud inside. this one deletes the rear muffler and replaces the factory muffler with a straight through cheapie muffler and a magnaflow tip. not nearly as loud and only have about $200 in it. I plan on putting a smaller muffler on it because its just not loud enough inside.
