What do you do with all those AC Lines after you disconnect them from the compressor? Do you just leave them inside or do you have to remove them completely? thank you!

+Mountain Lion, It is best to evacuate the refrigerant from the system and completely remove the lines from the car to eliminate any possible interference with the moving parts under the hood.Thank you

I searched "bypass a/c compressor 1993 explorer belt length" and this came up. This pulley part is a good idea in theory (though I have had problems with other Help products) if you want to keep the same belt or belt length; e.g. you intend to put a new compressor in sometime. For those of you searching to just bypass the A/C pulley by installing a shorter belt; My 93 explorer sport 4.0v6 with a/c came with a 875 belt. I tried installing the "w/o AC" belt listed as an 805 but it was too short. I ended up using an 815 belt and it fit perfectly; no pulley needed. FYI, a measurement of the "815rt6" belt on the belt measuring tool at the parts store was about 812...so some belts labeled 810 will obviously work if their physical measurement is longer. Good Luck

+Art Noll i bought a "w/o AC" belt the other day for my Camaro because my AC bearing seized up, and the belt was the same exact length!! I have to go back and see if they can give me a shorter one; I need one thats like 9" shorter

+Art Noll Hello Art,You are correct, on some cars you can get away with simply installing a shorter belt. On most cars, however, this cannot be done due to the routing of the belt. Installing a shorter belt on most vehicles will cause the belt to contact other parts under the hood. That is the reason we started to develop the bypass pulley assemblies. Thank you for your post.
