How to Make Traditional Red Sangria with Mark Oldman | Pottery Barn
Pottery Barn wine expert and author of "Oldman's Brave New World of Wine", Mark Oldman, shows how to make sangria in this video. For this traditional red ...
Funny they show it like that. The ice and the carbonated soda/water are
added at the end. You can even make it w tap/filtered water. wiki:
"Preparation consists of cutting the fruit in thin slices or small cubes,
then mixing in advance all ingredients except for ice and carbonated sodas.
After several hours, or a full day in a refrigerator to allow time for the
fruit flavors to blend with the rest of the ingredients, the ice and any
last-minute ingredients are added and the drinks are poured."
Hi George, you ask a good question. Though I am not an expert, what I know
from experience is that if you do not add some kind of "water", the
combination of the fruits and added sugar will yield a densely flavored
sangria after you let it sit. Personally, I think it delicious when done
without the added liquid but I guess it should be a light and refreshing
drink so "water", carbonated or not, should be added to thin it out a bit.
I would not add sprite or ginger ale though.
I've seen already a couple of videos on how to make sangria and I think
it's time for me to ask this question. Can someone please tell me the
purpose of pouring carbonated water into this sangria if you are then told
to leave in the fridge overnight? The carbonation will completely dissolve
and turn into regular water.
+Mother ofcurls I believe it was a cookie or pretzel jar from Costco. You can definitely use Red wine if that is your preference. Experiment with different ingredients until you find the favor you like.

Moscato is not a dry white wine, it is very sweet so more than likely it
would not work well with this recipe. I think that if you wanted to use
Moscato, you should leave the sugar out or use very little. But if
possible, you should find a dry white wine.
I made this last night. Big hit! When my guests were gone I took the fruit
out, squeezed the juice from the citrus and discarded them. Now I have a
yummy fruit salad with wine citrus juice to enjoy for dessert tonight!
Nothing goes to waste :)
Oh my god!!! As spanish I feel ofended!! sangría is made out of RED wine!!!
not white, not beer... that thing you just made might be nice and tasty,
but invent another name for it... THAT'S NOT SANGRÍA just because it's got
fruit in it!
It was a joke betch lol. But I have a joke for you, How many feminists does
it take to change a light bulb? None, feminists can't change anything ; )
Quit being so pessimistic and taking everything so dear to heart
Was thinking the same thing as they poured all of that sugar into the
already super sweet assortment of fruits which has enough natural sugar as
it is.
It is like a giant happy beer! I absolutely love Sangria and Beergaritas
are a favorite so I must try this! Love you girls.

as a graphic designer, the video is great. You know it is. as an
instructive/informative video, it's bad. The text color is hard to see and
everything moves so fast, i missed a few ingredients in the beginning. Plus
you have to see further down the road with other recipes. This one doesn't
required much except cut and mixed ingredients together. But what about a
roast beef or lasagna? How will the instructions be heard or tips be known?
Your videos typically have a charming, sweet-natured air about them, but
this video is quite a change from your usual aesthetic: it exudes sort of
brisk, undeniable hipness (exemplified by the bouncy, loungy music). That
said, it's so easy to stick to the same formula, so I commend you in that
you're at least willing to branch out and experiment with new editing
techniques!
The new editing technique is really great, I find it really thoughtful that
you put so much effort into the satisfaction of your viewers! I must admit,
I enjoy talking, but as this recipe was short I have no complaints, you
will go very far! Thank you so much for making your videos, it brightens my
day. Can't wait to see more of you and what your channel has to offer! :)
Hi Tara! Thanks for your feedback! I wanted to do the sangria recipe
because it's short and easy enough to edit in this style. I kind of wanted
to have a little fun and didn't want our normal style to become stale. I
have so many different ideas on how to share recipes; can't wait to get
them out! Thanks for watching! :)
I enjoyed this new video. It kind of reminds me of how Dulce Delight does
shorter videos, called Le Technique, where she shares helpful tips on how
to do different things. I enjoyed this videos editing and the styling as
well, but I also truly enjoy seeing you in the kitchen. Keep up the great
videos! You're awesome!!!
Slick vid, however, I missed your pretty face and adorable smile in this
vid! Doesn't have your personality in it, which is what MAKES your cooking
vids. Good your're trying other formats tho. The Sangria looks really
yummy! Great for summer!
I like it, a unique and refreshing take on the usual video. Just 2 things,
slow down in the beginning, for the ingredient list and write the
instruction in words during the video. Other than that, it's great! Very
artsy! (:
I'll be honest, I felt like I was watching a Youtube Ad. I am glad you are
trying out new ways to share your recipes, but I loved the old way, but I
think the picnic video was just as good as well :)
This video is a cool idea, really like it! might be good for some quick
drink/snack recipes...maybe release this type of vid on a Friday and
release your in depth recipes on your regular day...ideas
Looks a lot like LeafTv's videos, I preferred your previous formats more
when you talked to us. Nevertheless, it's nice to see you guys are trying
something new.
Are you serious? She's just cutting fruit, putting it in, squeezing lemon,
adding white wine, club soda, and peach brandy...I mean....how hard was
that?
How To Make - Sangria
Vince Coughlin gives a quick tutorial on how to make Sangria. Ingredients 2 oranges 2 lemons 1 cup of fresh mint leaves 1 cup fresh strawberries 3/4 cup ...
1st of all, sangria is not a cocktail ok? And that glass is not a tumbler.
You need some bar classes mate. And besides that your try of sangria looks
terrible... And you did it in some sort of aquarium, what the hell are you
doing?
