+Aníbal Anthony Gomez 4 stroke engines (normally) do not mix fuel and oil. Exception to this is a Stihl weed trimmer that utilizes a 4 cycle engine that is "fuel Lubricated" . Otherwise, 4 strokes have a separate crankcase that has engine oil in it just like your car, and most lawn mowers. (there are a few 2 stroke mowers around) If a 4 stroke is getting gas in the oil it means a carb is flooding. Injectors rarely cause that problem. 2 strokes have a very tightly fitted crankcase so that as the fuel mixture (gas & oil) it is compressed under the piston (primary compression) and is forced up a transfer port to the combustion chamber where it is ignited. The closeness of the crank etc. to the case is necessary to "squeeze" the mixture and lubricate the connecting rod and wrist pin. Note: too much oil in the mix will make a 2stroke smoke badly. Some smoke is normal but not much. There is no oil in a crankcase as in your car engine. The transmission gears in most unit construction engines share the same oil with the engine. (older bikes (Triumph etc. used to have separate gear and engine oil. (Harley still does) A 2 stroke transmission is sealed off from the crankcase to keep the tranny oil out of the engine. Otherwise it would smoke like crazy and foul plugs as fast as you could change them. Watch some of the 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke videos on here. Hope this helps.
Didn't anyone that designs car engines ever think to themselves, WTF? If
you look at the crankshaft of this engine you will see a hidden clue. See,
a piston engine has to travel up a cylinder, come to a sudden and violently
stop. It's then forced down again (unwillingly) and violently back up...
again, and again, and again...
.
That triangle is a symbol for One, like God the father, Jesus the son, and
the holy spirit. In reality Christianity is a load of shit, and God was
just trying to say "NO, you fucking morons! A rotary engine makes a hell of
a lot more sense than a piston engine"... He's been face palming his head
for so long, it is actually how we got foreheads....
Apart from the fact that rotary engines burn an unholy amount of oil because the piston 'ring' has to travel 10 times the distance of piston engine for each 'stroke'. Oh and piston engine are obscenely reliable and I'd like to see a rotary engine do 250,000+ miles with little maintenace
