So instead of complaining on here about it have you taken the trouble to
complain to the relevant authorities? Or do you not wish to stand up and be
counted? I think that you perhaps do not see all the good unions do and
have done and prefer to focus on this sole issue. I live in the UK and it's
only 2 generations from me when children worked in the mines and mills and
the working classes had nothing due to their subserviance to the 'masters'.
It's because of the unions we no longer have this
You leave me speechless, without the Trade Union Movement you would not
have those labour laws. In fairness you have already summed it up..... It
is all about you and your "I'm alright Jack" attitude. Sadly you have
really lost your way and no amount of discussion will make you see that
what you have now is because of Trade Unions, and once they are gone then
your employer will just as quickly take those benefits off you and ship
your jobs to a 3rd world country, it's easy in Telecoms.......
Where do you fall on the FREEMASONS PYRAMID & Income SCALE ? PEON CHATTEL
DEPT SLAVE ? a modern equivalent of a Nigger ? CANADIAN GOVERMENT FUNDED
EMPLOYMENT? TAX CREDITS FOR WHO ? HOLLYWOOD FILM UNIONS WITHOUT SENIORITY =
its A YOUNG WHITES ONLY CLAUSE RE-WORDED. IATSE 891 . A LOT OF PEOPLE
QUESTION HOW THIS UNION DISTRIBUTES THE WORK ? Note: OUTING &
DISCRIMINATION Is Illegal? In CANADA ! But is it just a part of Everyday
Life & Policy in CANADA 2011 . UNIONS ? Well This Union isnt it !
@DarrelfromZeeland "Because these greedy men don't want to be fair to
citizens who made their life possible, they have to inconveniently move
their factories elsewhere so that they can keep their unfair ways in other
countries that have not successfully become united as people." People need
to stand together or these things will happen with ideas like this. We
should all join unions as people united, not united under symbol. If
there's a problem with your union, band together and fix it.
@KnightsofZion For the last 6 months I have been stuck in traffic every day
on interstate 287 due to a construction project... The general contractor
running the site uses only Union labor. Every time I drive passed the
workers (at 5 MPH) I witness at least 6-8 workers standing around one or
two guys actually working... Then, I see the one women worker, who is
probably making $40 an hour, holding a "slow" sign.... This project is paid
for with tax dollars... Unions are corrupt.. Period.
a union, gee how about asking the steelworkers where the pension every
worker in 1302 earned is or their medical care or dental or life insurance,
all the union gave a crap about was their own jobs, the plight of the
workers in Zimbabwe and commie democrat horse shit, anyone stupid enough to
be involved with them will get reamed, gee did i mention that they did
nothing to get the workers at 1302 tra benefits, no the fat jerk from the
union was one of the worst maggots I have ever seen
@DarrelfromZeeland "I would destroy what little strong-armed piece of what
the middle class has. I would rather the money and earnings be in the hands
of a few plutocratic international exploiters than be in the hands of the
people who run this country. I would destroy law enforcement, education,
firefighters would be crippled. Minimum wage was never necessary, I would
like to place Americans in harsh working environments. Everyone would work
16 hours a day, 7 days a week."
I completely agree that unions were intrumental in regards to today's
LaborLaws... Like I said they HAd there place in history... Look at GM for
crying out loud! It's because of the Unions that GM had to get bailed out
by the American taxpayer! Over inflated wages and rediculous benifits
destroyed GM... I've been a Union member (IBEW) and all I saw my local do
was to provide protection to the least productive and in turn to pit
management against the workers..
@DarrelfromZeeland : "If I was President, I would be just as totalitarian
as Adolf Hitler. I would declare groups that support eachother to be a
terrorist group to defend themselves against plutocratic interest. I would
use unfair laws passed by the most corrupt members of government to this
date so I could remove their rights as citizens, take away all of their
belongings. I would violate the constitution. I would not support freedom
of speech."
@DarrelfromZeeland:It is correct that businesses may function outside of
our country and force citizens in other places in the world to work in
unfair working conditions. I do not believe in the constitution, I do not
believe in the Declaration of Independence. I believe in tyranny, and
dictatorship. Paying people fairly makes it unfair for too the abusers
while a handful of people remain very rich while the others live in
Poverty."
I was a proud I.B.E.W 424 member for many years, on the picket lines and
unionizing other companies, I was treated with respect and brotherhood by
all my peers and most of my employers; until I was permanently injured on
the job, at that moment my Union dropped me like I was a piece of meat that
was only there to supply them with my dues, no assistance , no pension
benefits left out to pasture to fight on my own.
Great film! Really punchy and to the point, and good use of graphics and
effects. I have mixed feelings about using Obama for the message but with a
shortage of inspiring, charismatic and powerful orators with such symbolic
power here in the UK I can understand why he's there. (As well as the
underlying message of what the unions achieved by working for his
election.) Best of luck with the TUC competition.
@DarrelfromZeeland Let me get this right. Fighting terrorism by giving them
the greatest recruitment campaign in history is something to be happy
about? And you say Teachers Unions alongside Al Qaeda. Lets not forget
which party allowed the Bin Laden family special flight privileges just
after 9/11. And lastly fuck you, you homophobic, xenophobic capitalist
watch dog.
Unions HAD there place in history...With today's labor laws, there is no
need for unions.... I work in the Telecom industry and it makes me
physically sick when I visit customers in "union buildings" because of the
overly inflated hourly rate they have to pay to contractors that are IBEW
and CWA... I've been in the IBEW and see what they do...
@DarrelfromZeeland You are either kidding OR you are a very stupid man. I
can tell by your written power trip that you are a very weak person. The
Republican party is a terrorist group........................not Unions
dummy.
I was in a union, the union took my money made up stupid rules that
prevented me from working. and thretened us with bodily harm or death if we
did not honor strikes. they are worse then the gestapo
Too bad Obama and the democrats fail to live up to their pro union
statements. If they had passed the Employee Free Choice Act it would be far
easier to win a labor struggle in ones workplace
"Alone we are weak, but united we are strong". Sadly, a message that seems
to have lost it's power in recent years. Excellent video...I will be
sharing with as many as I can....
I have great benefits and earn an above average wage as a Telecom
technician... My shop in Non-Union... Unions had there place in history...
Those days are history...
Can you prove yourself right? You want them to prove they have a job but,
you don't want to prove that they are all pieces of shit useless bastards
who have no job.
Good one Unison :) Definitely worth sharing Oh and let's all remember to
talk to someone to day and invite them to join a union - it takes all of us
doesn't it?

Unions must be really bad because all these companies spend millions
telling lies about them. Rekon what bad stuff it is they are afraid of ????
Maybe mngt would be held accountable for running the company into the
ground.......nope, they'd still do that. I guess you know what they really
fear. Think about it.

For Us..all we needed to qualify was one of us has to live or work in Ontario ( we didn't want a Quebec CU..to many language issues) Howie works in Ottawa..so we qualified..and once a member..ALWAYS a member even if Howie chooses another job in Quebec..or retires!
The CU that I am currently a member of has what they call "shared branching" with the new CU. Research the CU that you would like to become a member of... my current CU opened their membership to anyone that would like to join a few years ago.
+GoranMak Yes, it used to be that you had to be employed by a company that contracted with the CU in some way, or be related to a person that already has an account at the CU, but not nowadays... I am moving across country, and have to switch CU's... I qualify to become a member of the new CU just because I am moving into one of the counties they service.
Good tip-I belonged to a CU at work and they were great. Company went out
of business so am at a bank but may check into a CU again. They do not
have Federal insurance but most have some form of insurance and can be
checked out to see how they rank compared to other Credit Unions.
+Robb's Homemade Life Depends on the CU. CU's can be chartered either at the federal or state level. Most CU's I have been a member of are part of NCUA which is their equivalent of FDIC.
