Some people have had trouble overclocking both of their 5870 cards with AMD GPU Tool. This video shows a workaround of how to do it. First activate Furmark ...
For me its not working , The second gpu stays at 99.99mhz core and 150 at
memmory. when i start multigpu furmark. It dous not even use the goddamd
second gpu? gpuz monitored it 2 minutes. and gpu 1 was on 100% load.
working at the clocks i have set to it. and the second one. its just
waiting arround there. at its idle low clocks. when i overclock via amd gpu
tool. it can only clock the first card. when i put on same clocks for all
devices. it gives me a error when i clock set clock. soo HELPP ME
+Kaydn Burns I would rather AMD didn't go defunct, if not either they would fold making Nvidia a monopoly or Samsung or Intel could buy them out which would make a massive jump in AMDs RnD.
IBM 7nm is brand new and isn't even remotely finished. They said it could take 3 years before they are done. Intel already has 14nm and is selling the chips. They are making 10 nm very soon. Next year q1. AMD is 4 years behind on 32nm process. Intel needs competition though. But based on amds cpu track history they won't compete with intel. They be sub par or equal performance.
+Kaydn Burns I think Zen will give Intel the shakes :P I mean we have been on the same fab process for GPU's and CPUs for 3/4 years now I think, AMD also signed up for IBM's new 7nm process which is always a good sign.
True. If a company dominates over another and their is no competition than better stuff doesn't come out. Hopefully with amds new cpu's they actually compete with Intel. That is if they don't go bankrupt.
Ikr fucking 8k. Be like "dude I get 3 fps in skyrim.... but it's 8k do" but yes. If amd could get their driver shit together, I think they would definately have a better edge for sure. Nvidia is definately more optimized which gives it an unfair advantage. But I own 2x 280x in my server build and a 980 in my main build
+Kaydn Burns Yeah I think we are a LONG way from getting that "perfect! gpu, even Samsung made an 8K monitor...SLOW DOWN SAMSUNG!AMD just need to get their Driver game up and I think that could solve a lot of problems :P WEAK DRIVER GAME AMD! I have the 6970 which is...slow in todays standards...
+BasslineSynergie I do think they could do a partner card but they need to be sperate. When it comes to gaming and CAD or video editing nvidia takes the cake. In overall performance, clock for clock, core for core nvidia absolutely dominates amd. I mean the fury x has over 4000 cores and the 980ti has 2880 (I know I'm somewhat off on the exact ammount) but yet the 980ti beats it in most things not by much at all but still does it that's impressive.
+Kaydn BurnsWell the Fury X does have NEAR perfect CF without need bridges, Nvidia and AMD need to make a partner card just ONE, combine the best of both worlds. 980ti still loses in terms of power, I would still pick R9295X2 over a 980ti any day.
+BasslineSynergie you know what the really sad part about the 295x2 is? It has huge microstudder and is porely optimized in most games. Same goes with the titanz. Wanna know why? Because it's crossfire. Games are optimized for single gpu's as only %1 of people who have pc's have multi high end gpu's. So actually. The 980ti beats the 295x2 in about 50 games. The 295x2 beats the 980ti by about 15 frames in about 14 games
Lol I literally. Just showed you benchmarks that prove the fury x sucks XD deal with it. The 980 ti demolishes the furyx in 1080p and beats the fury x in 4k by about 3-10 fps.
+Kaydn Burns"fastest and best gpu [clearly no mention of single gpus only] on the market">R9295X2You are just being stupid and pulling shite out your arse when it suites you R9295X2 stomps 980ti deal with it.More than 3 I can assure you, 980ti is a good card no doubt about it but 4K Fury X is kind as it was literally DESIGNED to run 4K.
+BasslineSynergie actually the fastest card in the world is the 980 ti as the 295x2 is a fucking dual gpu card and is irrelevant. The fury x beats the 980 ti in about 3 benchmarks by about 3 fps in 4k
(gioco in fullhd).
Grazie.
#questionlee ciao lee, volevo chiederti un parere su questa configurazione:

io voglio utilizzare questa configurazione per il gaming(lo sò che non
potrò mettere a ulta).
The fastest Crossfire Intel Gaming PC available. Using a pair of new Radeon HD3870 512MB in 16x + 16x Crossfire mode together with either the fastest Intel ...
2x4850 quite nice its faster then 2x 3870x2's half of the time faster then
a gtx280... yep those 4800 series r quite the cards i have a 4870 and it
runs all the games pretty damn good if you are upgrading belive me the
upgrade from 4850 to 4870 is WELL worth it the thing is a BEAST. and if you
have a crossfire board you can kick in a second one after a while when they
(wich now seems impossible) are getting slower abd the prices went down

Visiontek Radeon HD 3870 X2 Video Card - Overclocked Edition

yes but is the power supply a good PSU. I mean they make 900 watt PSU's
that cost 30 bucks that really out put like 300 watts under stress. I just
bought a new Corsair TX 750 Watt PSU for $120 bucks after rebates,
originally it was $184.99. Usually you want to look for the Efficiency
rating of over 80% along with SLI or Cross Fire qualified and a strong 12V
rail thats high in amperage. Mine actually distributed through a SINGLE 60
Amp 12V rail which increases stability 10 fold over having 3 or 4
"The USAF, in testing their pilots for visual response time, used a simple
test to see if the pilots could distinguish small changes in light. In
their experiment a picture of an aircraft was flashed on a screen in a dark
room at 1/220th of a second. Pilots were consistently able to "see" the
afterimage as well as identify the aircraft. This simple and specific
situation not only proves the ability to perceive 1 image within 1/220 of a
second, but the ability to interpret higher FPS"
It's not false, I make the insinuation, you have to prove it wrong. Go and
do that. Why is the exageration false? It's to emphasise a point moron.
Couldnt care less about spelling mr slamm ling. People can want what ever
the like but most people are idiots. 300fps can withstand more rendering is
like saying my car can do 200mph in a 30 limit. Pointless. You didnt get
your moneys worth as while you spend a fortune on a card, my cheaper one
runs fine and when it strugles I replace it.
Infact it isnt even just that. Nvidia engineers when asked at what frame
rate would you consider crysis ''conqured'' and the reply they got was in
the 50-60 range. Higher is always better but at what price? Personally, I
see no need to spend literally hundreds of dollars more for a frame rate
you wont see a benifit from other than it will last you longer. Yet as I
pointed out, when my cheaper card strugles, I simply replace it and I have
still spent less cash than either of u.
And even then I have spent less money and enjoying my games just as well as
you. Guess who got there monyes worth ;) But then, this is because I
replace my cards every 6 or so months. 8800GT which did did well in
everything bar crysis for $200, and now 4870 for $275 and I run everything
fantastic. I'll replace it in 6months again with another $300ish card.
Enjoy your $1000 that gives you no benifit other than making u feel better
about having no friends ;)
Wikipedia: ''For example, a card may render a game at 100 FPS on a monitor
running 75 Hz refresh, but no more than 75 FPS can actually be displayed on
screen''. Considering I was on about a 60Hz monitor (CRT) at the time, am
still right all be it somewhat general. My point still stands what would be
the point in the (for example) 300fps if the monitor isnt allowing you to
see it, and as such the eye cant tell.
Which is not the same when we consider the refresh rate of the monitor. My
point when I originally said it was that despite the FPS that you are
aledgedly attaining, you cant see it because the monitor is not refreshing
quickly enough. Yet both yourself and that other tool cant seem to catch
onto that. For btw, a claim I made a few months ago, which he felt the need
to call me out for now. And I stand by it
I have a question... I bought this card and when finishing installing it
and run DXDIAG i got only 512 mb memory for video... Did i do something
wrong or this is just normal? Do i need to tweak something? And how would i
know if Crossfire is working??? Please i'm a newbie! By the way my specs
are Gigabyte x48-dq6, Intel Core 2 Quad overclocked by 2.8Ghz, 2x2Gb
Kingston DDR2 Ram...Tnx
no.. recent grpahics cards are pci x16 slots..which is what the 790i has
and the other recent boards so u can put any graphics cards in there as
long as they are pci x 16 slot. But the memory slots on the 790i is ddr3
..whereas the older mohterboads is ddr2..but u cant put any ddr2 or ddr1 on
the 790i, only ddr3 will work...but this is only memory
Thanks a lot for ur advice.80% more is interesting but frankly for now I
don't see what I'm not able to do with this for a gamer like me. But I
didn't know that I wouldn't be able to use a second monitor which I do.Just
the VGA cable costed me 50$,In this case I wont buy another.thanks a lot
for ur informations.
I think this one costs only 200$ now.that's what I toke in the PC I bought
last spring.Great deal dude.Never had problem with it.The drivers are way
much better then in the time I was using a 9800 PRO. Now I'm wondering if I
should get a second ATI 3870 X2 for more power.Would it worth?
The argument arose out of him claiming that spending huge amounts of cash
on a card that runs games at insane speeds is ''worth'' it. Imo, if the
card is hitting a minimum of atleast 30 and averagin above 60 anythin more
is a bonous, not a nescesity. And I have a PS3. U fag. :)
what? GDDR5 ?!?!?! i know that it is high... but since im fairly new to the
hardware stuff, can anyone tell me what do those ddr and gddr thingies
mean? and do u need a new motherboard if u want to upgrade from 4 to 5?
3870 is good where not all rich idiots ok we can only aford what we can
afford bottom line saved up money to get a 3870 or 9800 and ther not dated
cards ok they still kick ass and the pirce for them are just rigth
scotsocool, you sir are an idiot. Research your opinions before presenting
them as facts. You try to lower this guys' intelligence, yet you continue
to make yourself look more stupid.
He hasnt backed up his refuting claims with anything other than his
opinion. As such I see it merely as a difference of opinion. I'd thank you
to keep your moronic self out of it.
It was to emphasise a point that is obviously beyond your small mind.
People seem to think they need 100+fps on the max settings when infact they
do not. So stop being a tool ;)
@Lufios you cant put any desktop graphics card in a laptop. they make
special mobile versions to fit in there, but for reviews on those, you need
to visit notebookcheck(dot)com
well... ive found it at $160.00, so i suppose thats an awesome deal lol,
havent got it yet, not goin to until i upgrade my motherboard, but yea im
gettin that deal! lol
Logan I wanna tell you that there is some kind of dumm ass doing video
reviews instead of you!!!!!! Go punch him in a face with your alegator fist
and do some videos.
i fuckin hate ATI there cards are horrible....i love my new 9800GT 1
gig.....good customer support too...thumbs up to nvidea....never buying ATI
again....
@monimoni0147 haha how the hell can u see that???? cuz u always think about
boobs! perver! :)

Your e6300 IS NOT bottle necking your graphics card, your graphics is just
piece of shit. Review sites lie out the ass when it comes to reviews. "AA
off AF off" and then they compare them. Or "2x AA 2x AF" and then compare.
No-one puts them at the lowest setting. Everyone goes into the CCC or
Nvidia control panal and manually sets 24x AA and 16x AF OR 16x AA 16x AF.
When that happens, the nvidia cards become slow as balls and ati holds up
like its butter. Test it for yourself.............
How can you say that's "the fastest Crossfire Intel Gaming PC available".
Does skulltrail ring a bell, if not google it. It consists of 2 quad core
extremes and two 4870X2's, way faster than that setup.
