While unboxing this motherboard, I showed you all a brief look at sysprep, an .exe that can be run through command prompt, which readies Windows and ...
It's pretty great, I don't think you'll regret it. But if you can, I'd suggest replacing the CMOS battery if you have any problems. A few of the boards were sent out with dying ones.
Thank you really much, I was going for 8gb of ddr4 because i dindt knew abot the incopatiblility but maybe I am thinking on 16 gigs due to the fact that ddr3 is much cheaper when more gigs are evolved, depending all on the frequency too...
+IN ON!! ! This motherboard is Z97, which is below the X99 platform and therefore only supports DDR3. DDR3 has 240 pins, while DDR4 has 260, which makes it incompatible to any motherboard without an X99 or Z170 chipset.
+Hendo Not too much - the Extreme version of the board actually has more physical additions like the BIOS selection switch and BIOS supports. - //www.asrock.com/mb/compare.asp?SelectedModel=Z97+Extreme4&SelectedModel=Z97+Pro4
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Review [HD]
Full Review with Ivy Bridge: //www.vortez.net/articles_pages/asrock_z77_extreme4_review,1.html A video review - overview of ASRock's new Intel Z77 ...
+ehav213 he sounds completely british to me lol, I don't know where you hear the american accent from. And In britain they used zet not ze, here in Canada, we used zet not ze too.
+ehav213 I know the point you're making but we don't even pronounce Zebra as you're suggesting -- ZE-Bra. We pronounce it ZEH-BRA. There are quite a few differences British English and American English... so it isn't 'wrong' ;)
i am from Tehran Iran. but i came to California when i was 8 years old. I am Persian Armenian :) . good video tho bro. just the Zet was funny lolol zet 77 and zet 68 xD ZE niggah lolol always think of Zebra from now on lolol
I have this mobo and I was wondering if there is a setting to have the
on-button and the reset button LED's turned on at all times when my PC is
running.
Also, I am using an i7-3770 and was planning on getting a couple of GTX
970's for it. Now, what I'm wondering is, will the CPU bottleneck the GPU's?
It would be awesome if anyone have some answers for me :)
Some suggestions about these videos: 1. Don't waste time reading the
marketing nonsense on the box, focus on the real features on the board.
Pointing out the positions of the headers and the USB A socket was helpful
for example. 2. It would be nice if you did a little research before
posting these videos. The second HDMI port is an HDMI-in port, really a
passthrough so you can share your monitor with a another device, for
example, a gaming system. In short, less reading, more useful information.
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 also has amazing features for it's ridiculously low
price, and it's amazing quality and has never failed me in over 30 builds
I've done with the motherboard. If I ever decide to build an entirely new
rig for myself during the Haswell life cycle, I'll definitely be picking up
this motherboard.
Damn =( i didnt see there comming update to Z87 i have bought allready Z77
Extreme 4 and it cost same price as z87, and proc. is same price 3450k as
4670k, i'm so disspointed that is the same price and it wosn't available in
my country.
Sli has pretty much no small frame rate problems as compared with
crossfire, but it's pretty good now. Though in the sub $300 market AMDs
cards are all better value even more so in 7770 range and below.
1.) He DOES mention that it is an hdmi-in 2.) THEY ARE TRYING TO SELL YOU A
PRODUCT They're not gonna point out the bad things dumbass 3.) If you don't
like it, waste your time somewhere else
I doesn't have onboad wi-fi. I've never used wi-fi on a desktop build
anyway though, so it's always been a non-issue for me. USB and PCI wi-fi
adapters ae very cheap though.
I would always suggest the ASRock z87, only because i have always gone with
them and reviews say they are better for the money! I just ordered my new
z87 (asrock of course)
If it's not a typing error, you need a Z87 not 77 for haswell. Exept for
that, it's a great configuration for BF4, you could play even on ULTRA with
60 fps probably.
I have an Asrock 970A Extreme3 and I'm very unhappy with it. It constantly
overvolts my CPU, even with a Hyper 212+ on my stock 965BE it's hard to
keep it cool.
Does this motherboard have digital VRM's, or analog ones like the Z77
version? Or does it matter, because the power controller thing moved on die?
Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 motherboard unboxing & review - Maximum PCs Australia

Hey I just bought a new asrock x99 extreme4 motherboard, I have everything
hooked up and running perfect. now what do I need to do to download the
drivers for my motherboard? I know on my old motherboard I had a engine msi
live and it would keep all my updates and stuff and tell me when I have a
new one. does this have one of those?
I have the same mobo but I want to change the storage controller mode to
SATA in order for SEATOOLS DOS to detect my hard drive but there's no
option in the advanced tab. Can anyone help?
ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 Review
A video review of LGA1155 ASRock Intel Z68 Extreme4 Gen Motherboard. FULL REVIEW: ...
Got this board with a 2500K @ 4.7Ghz 1.355V cooled with a coolermaster
Hyper 612PWM and 2 X 4GB Ripjaw @ 1866Mhz 9-9-9-32 1T 1.53V. Fully
prime95/Intel burn test/3DMark stable. Note that turbo mode is enabled so
the CPU do clock down to 4Ghz under extreme conditions (over 110W of power
according to Coretemp). I could run it at full 4.7Ghz 100% of the time, but
it would need more Vcore that I'm comfortable with. NO normal apps/games
drain over 100W so I do get 4.7Ghz speed all the time anyway.
@JanPIPasion nice, i ordered this mobo + i5 2500k + sapphire radeon hd 6970
+ 16 gb (4x4 ripjaws ddr3 pc12800 1600mhz kit (its not the ripjaws X, its
just ripjaws)) + corsair ax850 psu + hitachi 750 gb 7200 rpm sata 3 32mb
cache + xigmatek gaia cpu cooler + HAF X case. i am super excited and
nervous too (worried about defective parts arriving in the mail).. first
build xD. your build is pretty solid. i think everything will work great on
that
Yo. Need a little help regarding this board. Just it has just arrived back
in the UK (I am on holiday right now) and I am wondering If I am going to
need to buy any additional cables when I build my own pc when I get back.
Specs: Nvidia Geforce GTX 580 Intel i7 2600k Z68 extreme4 gen3 Corsair
Obsidian 650D (case) Older dvd drive and hard drive (can't remember exact
names, they are going to be taken out of my old pc)
Good board, no issues for me, boots fast. Similar to the Asus P8Z68V Gen3.
Z68XP-UD4 is a bit more 'enthusiast' (no UEFI, but better overclocker(?)).
Running with a M4 128GB, two Samsung F3, Xfire 6950 TOXIC, [email protected],
MUX120, and HyperX 12800C9 8GB, in a Carbide 500R. Oh yeah, one issue, my
main keyboard and mouse don't work in BIOS (Qpad 5K, Qpad MK-85).
If you haven't found out what they mean yet I will give you a quick
explanation: h67, h77 are not for overclocking, p67 allow overclocking but
without the intergrated graphics, z68 is the "best of both worlds" the ones
that are Gen 3 also support ivy, z77 is the latest and is pretty much same
as z68 but with more features and support ivy bridge.
i am thinking of getting this MOBO i am putting in a i7 2600k sapphire
radeon hd 6950 8gb (2x4 Ripjaws X for Intel Sandybridge Platforms DDR3
PC12800 1600MHz 8GB Kit) Western Digital VelociRaptor 150GB SATA II 10,000
RPM 16MB Cache 3.5 inch Internal Hard Drive OEM-£105 with the corsair tx750
PSU.. What's your opinion?
What case is it you are using? It may have an internal motherboard cable so
this would slot at the bottom of the board - USB 3.0 header otherwise it
will use USB 3.0 cables which would need to route through to the rear IO
ports on the motherboard - you would lose 2x USB 3.0 ports at the back if
this is the case!
No problem - by the way you can get a USB 3.0 to internal adapter. Not sure
where about you are located but have a search on google, they certainly
stock them in UK. This would enable you to take advantage of the internal
header on the motherboard and still have 2x USB 3.0 free at the back!
Does anybody know if this board and its smaller brother (extreme3 gen3)
will allow me to put to use the 2 USB 3.0 ports I have at the front of my
case? Actually, do I have to have this board in order for them to work or
is the extreme3 gen3 sufficient? Thanks!
@VortezReviews im on the same boat with antwkapa, il be gettin 2500k, 2
sapphire 6950, 8gig 1600 patriot viper extreme, G.Skill Phoenix EVO 115gb.
and i am torn with this two boards asrock extreme4 gen3 and asus p8z68-v.
dunno which to pick. help! TIA
Vortez I have a question regarding the spacing on this motherboard. I am
currently using a p67 sabertooth and EVGA GTX 580 SLI, I want to go tri
sli. Will there be enough room for 3 massive cards + my creative labs
fatility pro titanium sound card?
They are the different chipsets. Z77 is the latest and supports Intel's
next generation Ivy Bridge CPUs. If you want to learn more - come over to
