@AmbitiousKitten as far as benefits.. it is ics so you will experience overall improved performance plus more functuonality with new features, you can alwats fxz back to stock .905 gingerbread, this may void your warranty, technically with ics there is a root check that shows up in stock recovery so verizon will know if youve rooted

You need to be on stock 5.9.905 for this install to work. You also need to be unrooted. To unroot your device, search youtube for "unroot any android device" and select the first video and follow the steps. Once you're unrooted, follow the steps in the vid and you should be good.

Verizon is still pushing out the 5.9.905 update to bionic owners. A new batch of people just received the update today so this is probably why they haven't started the ics rollout yet.

@Dave McWilliams i would try to go straight to ics leak if you are totally unrooted 905. if it doesnt work then you will need to fxz to 902 install 905 then install ics leak

After I updated to ICS. I went to Moto site and re-updated the drivers. Originally I thought I didn't have to update the drivers because the phone was being recognized by my PC. After re-updating the drivers, I started getting that annoying browser pop from VZ every time I plugged my phone again. I also changed by USB connection from Mass Storage to MTP. I also disabled the Virus software from ZoneAlarm; it was blocking the program. I ran the "run.bat" file again and it worked. Hope this helps!

I have rooted Bionic on 4.0.4 and now I am unable to access safestrap. The apk is installed, the recovery is installed , but the menu or search have no response when touched. So after 10 seconds it boots normally. But I am unable to access safestrap recovery. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

OKAY I was able to root my Bionic on ICS. I had to factory reset my phone, and then it let me root it. I don't know why but that is what I had to do. So if anyone is having the same issue I was having try a factory reset first.

Bluetooth is buggy and may not connect Stock Camera does not work, Do not use it. Use included Pudding Camera or other market camera If you open stock camera, reboot and other cameras will work again MMS is goofy (Use go sms or Handcent for MMS) Please Read through the Thread to see if a question has already been asked and answered before asking again! hope this helps

I am running Android 4.0.4, I am rooted, I used safestrap 3.0, I flashed the elcipse 1.2.1 in rom slot 1 and made it active. Everything works great, but I can no longer connect to wifi. I am on wifi at my college and my phone is registered with my Mac address. When I try to get on it just keeps connecting and disconnecting. Can anyone help?

@Jess Patton if you phone is registered with its mac address then that might have changed by flashing the rom check the mac address and make sure you are registered correctly

@iImnotlegitt iy sounds like after you downloaded the rom that you extracted the files to a folder. redownload the rom and leave it as a zip ans you will be fine.

I have the ice cream sandwich update on my droid bionic and its nice, but the thing is that it sucks the hell out of my battery life. Literally within like 4 hours my battery life goes down to like 25% and the phone is hot as hell and Im not even using the phone at all, like as in not surfing the web on it or calling, its just on standby.

I wish I could point you in the right direction for the files but I feel Google would be best just make sure you get the same leak build as I showed In the video

@Finnian McGillivray be careful the new ics leak you can't go back on with this method you have ever to try the new fzx 905 that was released two days ago. So just proceed with caution I would use the one in the video till official comes out. Because it's really stable

I managed to keep the device running long enough to load AOKP Milestone 6 and install it on my safe system (Safestrap 2.0) AOKP runs better than the 232 leak but it still locks up and sometimes reboots. is this normal behavior for these roms?

Make sure that when you download Eclipse.zip, you put it in your EXTERNAL SD CARD, not your internal memory or else when you wipe your system files/cache, you will accidentally wipe your .zip file.

Got it on the first try, looks great and runs even better. Only issues I have had are, it did take a while for data to "stick " but after toggling LTE on and off maybe a dozen times it took and also having the problems with the soft keys. After one reboot it stopped but since my last reboot the problem has come back. If you have any suggestions on how to fix it that word be awesome, but other then that this is an amazing Rom. Great work.

Hey. Um you know how when you go into about phone. There's like a whole list of info. Like status updates. Legal, system version.model number (which is bionic) etc. Well all the ics I've flashed all those lists were only like 4lines. And its weird that it said the model number was xt875 instead of DROID bionic. And the system version or build or whatever was at the bottom nd said blah blah* ics. ??

i did i re wiped it wiped the cache and wiped devik and formatted the system and then installed the zip from the sd card and them goes thru but wont activate it sets up fine if i hit skip but no activation...what should i do? i went back to liberty rom and everything activated fine. i really want this rom.

@kaseytc I think the chrome beta requires the 2d gui acceleration which hasn't been fixed yet. The way to tell if that works is the settings menu in android will have a grey gradient rather than a solid black background. Once they accomplish this the whole phone should also be much much smoother.

Maybe its just because ive only had it running for a couple hours, but i have toggled ever combination of wi-fi, cdma, and gsm etc. I get it to show 4G (i am in a 4g area) and get it to show 3g, but it is always grey and thus not actually working. Is there something im missing?

I wrote my first comment to soon, just looked at the Devs page and someone suggested toggling auto brightness on and off and that fixes the problem. I have tried it and toggled it about 6 times, and it does work for me. Good luck everyone, hope the tip helps.

some problems i have with mine .... when i restart the phone or power it up it reboots clock work recovery. also when i have the phone in idle the the bottom icons on the phone stay lit. anyone else having these issues?

Front cam ain't working for me, and rear facing only tops out at 5mp instead of the 8mp it can really go up to. Hoping its something that's fixed on the next update.

FXZ Flashing has never worked for me. Fails every time on multiple computers with latest drivers and latest rsdlite. rsd lite is not an option for me.
