Rule34.xxx is not a tube — it is a tag-based image board, a booru, where every post is one uploaded file and roughly 529,000 of those posts carry the video tag. There is no quality menu and no stream to rebuild: a post is a single file at a single resolution. FSAVED fetches that exact file, so an animation you found through a five-tag search survives the post being deleted.
Posts here disappear for ordinary reasons. Artists file takedowns on their own work, moderators remove uploads that break the board's rules on watermarks, visible compression artefacts or paysite material, and the site keeps a separate deleted-posts feed so programs can track what went. Re-finding something later is harder than it sounds: the operators themselves state the site is being filtered out of Google results, and a booru link is an opaque numeric id rather than a title you could search for. A local copy is the one version nobody can rotate away.
The privacy model is simple. When you paste a post URL to download a Rule34.xxx video online, the fetch runs on our servers, so the board's CDN sees us ask for the file and never your IP address or browser fingerprint. We keep no logs tying a download back to a person. Your saved list lives only in your own browser on this device — it is not an account, nothing syncs anywhere, and one tap clears it. Nothing about what you save is stored under your name on our side.
This page covers the video side of the board: which post types work, what resolution you can realistically expect from a file an artist exported themselves, why a lot of animations are silent on purpose, how to save one to a phone with nothing installed, and what FSAVED deliberately does not touch. It is written for personal, offline viewing of posts that are already publicly visible.
The uploader's original MP4 or, on older posts, WebM — one file at one resolution, often 1080p, sometimes vertical or an odd non-standard size, with sound only if the artist rendered sound.
A booru does not transcode. A tube offers 480p / 720p / 1080p because its encoder built those renditions; rule34.xxx stores the file the uploader submitted, names it after a 32-character hash, and serves that one file from its CDN. So there is no quality list to choose from, and dimensions are whatever the artist exported. Sampling recent animation posts turns up 1920x1080 next to 1320x730, a vertical 480x832 phone-shaped clip, and a 2706x1600 render that is bigger than 1080p without being 4K. FSAVED hands you that file unchanged — no re-encode, no upscale, no second-guessing of someone's export settings.
Audio is close to a coin flip here, and that is a property of the board rather than a fault. Well over a hundred thousand posts are tagged no_sound because loops are often rendered mute, against roughly twice as many tagged sound, and some even carry a sound_warning tag for loud mixes. If a save plays silently, read the post's own tags before assuming the download broke. On format, the modern catalogue is MP4 with a WebM tail from earlier years, and both save as they are. The board's upload rules reject visibly over-compressed files, so a soft-looking animation is usually a low-bitrate source that no downloader can sharpen.
On a phone this matters more than it does on a desktop. Long-pressing a booru video rarely offers a save option — mobile browsers hand you a player instead, and the post's Original-image link tends to open the file in a new tab rather than store it. With FSAVED you copy the post URL from the address bar, paste it, and tap save. On Android the file lands in Downloads and appears in your gallery or any video player; on iPhone it saves into Files, from where you can move it to Photos. Nothing is installed, which makes this a rule34 downloader without an app.
On desktop it behaves the same way in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge: paste the post link, save, and the file goes to your usual downloads folder at full size — useful for the oversized renders a browser window scales down anyway. Because the fetch runs on our side, your own connection never contacts the board's CDN, and the hash-named file arrives whole instead of as a half-buffered stream. It is a Rule34.xxx video saver that lives entirely in a browser tab.
