Kosol KRELL KSA-50 Amplifier Repair and Restoration August 2011
This Krell classic KSA-50 came in with shorted transistors and browned power and board resistors. We replaced all the Power transistors and audio board caps ...
50 Watts?, when i first saw that beast i thought, 800w a side considering
the fan cooling system and the size of the caps. It is a thing of beauty,
well made and designed correctly, twin toroidal transformers, seperate psu
per channel, neat wiring etc. Basically built to last, i bet it doesn't
even come close to breaking into a sweat, somebody in the past must have
abused it in order for you to replace what you have done. Nice amp, people
just don't make stuff like that anymore..
Krell KSA-50 is regarded by many as one of the finest Class A maps of that
era. Problems with relais, fans and transistors are expected. None of the
amps I had from Threshold, Levinson, Classé, Rowland and Krell were without
problems. They all need maintenance like a classic car but you won't
considering throwing them away because they;'re fun to operate and a joy to
listen to.
From everything I've read about krell amps it seems they all over heat! I'm
really thinking about getting the s 300i intergrated, but am afraid i'm
going to have problems with over heating! Any suggestions? Am I wrong about
this? Somebody let me know! Thanks!
Have a Krell KSA-250 that needs new capacitors, because they put the
resistor almost touching the capacitors that gets very hot, very bad place
to put the resistors, mostly always the softstart board and overheated
resistors, that these amps fail.
The Krell KAV 300i is an excellent Amplifier that does not heat up like the
KSA/KMA series as it lowers the transistor biasing when there is no music
being played. Please listen to one before purchasing. I personally love the
300i.

Here are some answers that i've thought of. 1. Many people cannot be real
pilots, so the next one is to fly in video games. 2. Fighter Planes are
more responsive, and more exciting to fly, due to their intended use: war.
3. In flight simulators, the objective is to challenge the pilot, so it's
more fun to be challenged than to sit back and let the plane fly itself. 4.
Ehh, I don't think so... A lot of people just like to pick up and play.
man you rock with your solutions! now lemme give YOU a hand... erase this
comment so ppl on ur town wont make similars... buy some pcs with some good
air combat simulators, make some cockpits and widescreen projectors, and
start a lan party... CHARGE for hour... you can be rich really soon, rent a
place downtown and make ur own air combat fest...
You are in luck! We sell all over the world, and about half of our
customers are outside the United States. You can choose either PayPal or
Google Checkout, which both support international payments. We also provide
a way to pay by check. Simply print out a DIY Flight Sims order form from
our website and mail it to us with a check.
You can simulate any aircraft you want, but the main issue that people
notice is the location of the controls. The PACS is designed for a
side-mounted joystick and throttle. If you can be happy with that
configuration, then PACS will work for you. By the way....we are working on
an airliner keyboard mod.
@applesweeter It's all because fruit flavors are made into gum. Gum is
chewable. Tobacco is chewable. Tobacco is smokable. Weed is smokable. Weed
gets you high. Planes make you high (literally). Therefore, all of your
questions are answered by the world's love of fruit. ;) Hope that helped!
There is a bracket that fits on top of the nose that supports a monitor.
However, we prefer to use a ceiling-mounted projector and a screen on the
wall, so that's why there was no monitor in this movie. It can work both
ways.
We love big screens, so we use a projector and screen. However, you can
also use a computer monitor. There is a separate bracket that fits on the
nosecone that can support a flat panel monitor.
buy the seat from sparco~ get a comfy bucket seat~ and the 5-point seatbelt
and you are all set~ you can fix up a steering wheel and you can play
driving games too~ not only for flight sims~
This video shows PACS as you would use it with a screen and projector. The
instructions also include plans for a monitor shelf that will allow a flat
panel monitor to rest on the nosecone.
@applesweeter i hope you are not serious, if you are, then you are
boring... WHY THE HELL WOULD I LIKE TO FLY A380? try to loop, you end up
dead. + all the other points.
I would love to try to do a spitfire cockpit set up with remade parts in
analog working rounded yoke etc instead of digtal instum, just cause
everyone else has it
Do you just imagine that you are flying a plane? I also don't like that guy
pointing at me, i never, ever want one of these things within a mile of my
house
me and my mum build one from cardboard and drew on the instruments, the
speed is set to 1 billion. when im at work i cant wate to get home and play
with it.
