I measure the distance from the centre of the rear axle to the centre of
the swing arm pivot. The distance should be the same on both sides, which
makes the rear wheel in line with the frame, which, as long as everything
else is right, should be in true alignment.
Thanks for sharing and really awesome method ... but when attaching the
string to an object in front of the bike you have to go with eyesight from
all the way back, right ?
No thats not required, when the string touches the rear of the rear tire and the front of the rear tire, it forms a line which just extends all the way forward past the front tire
great video , My ex250 ninja , when i ride and press my brakes as i slow
down my front tire wobbles i did this their straight but i do need new

I bough the bike with no front end lights gauges turn signals had the local shop look at the bike after i ran clutch cab;e brake cab;e headlight wire turn signals gauges speedoo and new used fron fairing etc
thanx max i just started recently i stopped riding because i noticed some dryrot on the front tire only happens when i hit abot 10 to 5 mph while stopping , its quick wobble and the bike pulls slightly , to the right . I do have a bent right handle bar
Tires might have something to do with it, sounds a lot like an unbalanced wheel though. When you get your tires put on make sure they balance the wheel too

Join me as I take my wife's 2005 Honda Nighthawk CB250 and swap it out for a brand new 2015 Triumph Bonneville. You'll get to see and hear my initial ...
Very nice bike , congrats to you and your wife .. I love the assortment of
colors these come in .. Also the price ... ooolala ... they are affordable.
I would like to think they are pretty good on maintenance? What do they
charge for first service? (Even though I know most, myself included would
do this ourselves)
+dbest1a Vlogs Such a classic look to these bikes, and legendary heritage. I believe they want $230 for the first service, which isn't bad as far as new bikes go, but yeah, according to the maintenance requirements I'll be able to handle it myself. B-)
+HoaryRider Oh yeah, she's been riding it, I've been taking it out between her trips. It's a fun experience, giving me a whole new thought process in to what my next bike will be...
+hoohoohoblin Haha! I still have the Enfield, in fact, the Bonnie feels like the Honda in my stable, so it's almost as if the CTX and the RE mated and made the Bonneville! All the strength and reliability of my CTX, but the looks of the Enfield B-)
My first bike was a 1985 Honda Rebel and it had the exact same engine as
your wife's former Nighthawk. I thought it was just swell until I rode a
larger bike. This is a great step up for her! I get the feeling it won't
see the inside of the garage very much ; )
+stirlingshire Yes, the Nighthawk is the taller upright seating brother of the Rebel! Those motors are as solid as Singer sewing machines, and sound like'em too! Between the two of us, the Bonneville is going to see allot of road time B-)
