Thank you so much for this video I have a 5 year old Morgan Mare X and when I lunge her I usually do it in a lunge ring at my next door neighbours. But I have started doing it at home so I have watched a few videos to get some tips and this is the best out of the hundreds I've watched. So thank you.

My goodness, what a beautiful thoroughbred, I love that color, he's like a blue roan Appaloosa! I'm currently working on teaching my Colt Stud, he's going to be a year old on the 13th of this month. When I begin to lunge him, he runs his side into me and pushes me, I put pressure on him but hitting him on the butt by swinging the end of the lead rope around in a circle. It's seems to be working! I also used your technique on the aggressive horse you worked with that bucked. He is much better

Emily, I was using a driving whip, it's short and no long lash, the owner demonstrated to me, the long whip, and long line did NOT work, I saw your video of you with long whip, lashing, lashing even though your horse was already trotting, if you did that to this horse he would be rearing and dragging you all over the pen. Try to remember I am RE TRAINING horse that have developed bad habits. Even though I say first time, it's the first time it has been attempted by others.

this is good but my horse just doesn't understand the fact that she has to walk away from me without me, she wont trot if i run with her on a lead rope either , she's 8 but she very green. any tips i would really appreciate it as lunging would help as shes hot headed too.

I honestly think she may have benefited a tad more with a longer line & an actual lunge whip.

I lunged my horse today! Just a walk, but both directions! He is a 6 yr old gelding that is green broke, I will feel better riding him now. I do not know why it was hard to figure out with all of the videos I watched but you made it just click. Thank you.
