400 Subs! Congratz. And also in your obs video you could mention for
someone with any AMD graphics card they can get AMD Gaming Evolved which
does the exact same as the one you use :)
That is actually very typical for any kind of recording software. There are two ways to fix this. Run the games in borderless windowed mode or record desktop with windowed game and then crop the desktop out in vegas/premiere. What game do you want to record?
+PredandBeranie No, I start recording on my desktop (becuase I can't start recording in fullscreen), then I go fullscreen into the game. When I stop the video and look at the footage, I see my desktop. It's like I never opened the game.
Hey!
I have several questions. I've had shadowplay for a while now... But im on
beta access, dunno if that changes anything or causes my problems.
Anyways, some months ago i started to use shadowplay, and i could record
every game actually. So this desktop thingy was already enabled. However,
now since some time i cannot record this ONE GODDAMN GAME. Games like Ark -
Survival evolved and OSU! are not supported games but still i can record
them. The game i cant record is Teeworlds out of sudden. I could record
Teeworlds before with it, but not now? I dont get it, what the actual fuck
went wrong. Would love to hear from you! Thanks in advance - Marleen c:
+GhettoChicky Hi I just tried recording teeworlds and it worked. Is the desktop thing still enabled for you? If not, check if you are running manual recording mode with shadowplay or if you have one of the two modes activated where you can record the last 3-30 minutes of gameplay, I think its called shadow mode or shadowplay. Those will actually deactivate the desktop mode and you wont be able to record games that run in a window.
Hi! I used to always record with Shadowplay and it was always perfect. One
day when i went to record it only recorded the sound and a black screen
instead of the gameplay... Any help? :(
+✪KertVegas are you watching the recorded footage with windows media player and it is all black? Try the VLC player and see if it is still black. I've heard that windows media player has problems with decoding shadowplay footage. So videos are recording and you can hear the audio but the player is unable to decode the video and just shows a black screen. You could also try to just upload a small black screen video to youtube and see if is has a picture. Then you can be sure it is a codec problem.
Awesome, thank you man, I was looking for this and it works like a charm.
Btw I had an issue where the checkbox was greyed out and I couldn't click
on it, even though my CPU is supposed to be supported, but after a bit of
searching I found a solution for that thanks to brainpowered on the geforce
forums. Apparently something had bugged out with my machine and although
the "visual styles" setting box was checked it wasn't actually enabled, but
unchecking it, applying, and checking it again fixed the issue for me.
His instructions on navigating to that setting:
"Right-click on Computers > Select "Properties"> Select "Advanced System
Settings"> Select the "Advanced" tab > Select "Settings" Under Performance
>
here you can select "Let Windows Choose what's best for my computer" or
"Custom" and make sure "Use visual styles on windows and buttons" is
enabled.
This will allow you to use the "Allow Desktop Capture" setting."
Btw "Computers" = right click on My Computer
Hey thank you for that additional information. This will help a lot of people!

How to Record Minecraft with Nvidia ShadowPlay - Tutorial
Hello, everyone! This is a tutorial video showing you how to record Minecraft with Nvidia ShadowPlay! I hope this helped you out.
+TheMilkMan Sorry, man. I wouldn't be able to tell you what else to do. Also, I wouldn't take the risk in downloading that file. I didn't even notice that download link when I posted the forum link. Maybe you can use a program like OBS to record minecraft instead?
+TheMilkMan Hm, it seems people with "m" cards are having trouble getting the desktop capture option working. After some searching I found this: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/808226/geforce-experience/-solution-shadowplays-desktop-capture-for-notebooks-laptops/ It seems this method is working for a lot of people. Might wanna give it a try.
