Lovely to see someone addressing this. Running a counseling business isn't
for everyone and it's important to have your eyes wide open. As you
mention, it is a transition for people and they may run into business
issues, if they aren't aware of how to approach their practice as a
business. I just posted a video on tips for safety in meeting new clients
under safe conditions, which can be important for the solo practitioner,
especially if they're working alone and not in an agency, as you note.

let me be very clear ----no-one can even think about this option unless
you have a substantial and I mean substantial cash resources - the whole
field is dominated by middle/upper middle class females - whose economical
security comes from wealthy husbands in well paid jobs, - or
inheritance.....working class males like me - with no wealth, and a wife
who does not earn substantial amounts....then I am buggered.. Fully trained
(MBACP) ---but entrapped.
