This is me singing in my University's Cabaret show entitled "Broadway a La Carte". This song is the BEST EVER! SO true for those ladies who are always stuck ...
That was EXTREMELY impressive. LOVE IT! I'm sure we'll see your name in
lights someday soon. (: But just one question, what is Mr. Westenberg like
in person? I've been a fan for a while and have always wondered what it's
like to study under him.

In high school I always hated being an alto because the snotty little
soprano girls thought they were such hot stuff. However, when I got to
college, my first day in choir the teacher went around and asked what
everyone sang normally. All the soprano girls answered, again, like they
were God's gift to Earth. After we had all said something, he knocked the
soprano girls off their high horses by saying "Anyone can sing melody. The
harmony is what makes the song special; what gives it depth. I hope I have
some really good altos this year because they are the unsung heroes here,
pun intended." And since then I've never been ashamed of singing alto.
(Although I still love melodies, of course.)
+Lindsey Myers your comment made me laugh, and the one about the super soprano lol, but i love sopranos. Question: is this song written for sopranos or altos? Pretty sure Natalie is a soprano
I'm a soprano and we sing a lot of harmonies. Idk what choir you were in that the highest singers were stuck singing melody. Of course every part is needed, especially altos, but don't throw sopranos under the bus because you're not one.
Who was your teacher cause he/she is now my favorite person ever there was one girl in middle school that claimed to be a "super soprano" i still remember that cause i promised to never EVER be like her
Yess! No one knows the struggle of being a bass. Harmonies thats all we're good for people say!! :(

Hey, I'm a male, and I'm a bass, which is the lowest vocal range, and a lot of guys have the higher vocal range (tenor) and there's not many basses in my choir, but if you're feeling down, just remember, your voice range is rare, which makes you awesome and unique, I feel you.We have the low notes, Bass and Alto power!
Im a 16y/o guy. im an alto after i went to a music class. but i cant sing
with falsetto. Is it normal or im not an alto? i have a strong chestvoice
and headvoice. My voice range is fron A3 to B4/C5. Explain this please!
Okay I'm an alto but a high alto but still can't hit the soprano note there
just too high but here's my question since when has being an alto make you
a bad singer because I've meet some terrible sopranos to be honest I think
I sound great and many people agree so don't get your hopes down just know
you might sound better than a soprano ;)
people have told me that I am an alto but some have told me im a mezzo soprano im really confused my lowest note is D3 and my highest is D6 and my highest belt is C5
I feel like I'm the only one in the comments who's happy to be an alto. I
love being able to hit lower notes than some of the tenors and having a
rich deep voice. I could sing mezzo soprano if I wanted too. Idk.
Your not alone. I'm an alto singer too! Its a bit hard sometimes though in choir when there is only Soprano songs. Bit aside from that, I love to be able to sing low.
+Romi524 That's the point... It's a soprano being thrown in with the altos.

I taught myself how to play piano and guitar and I really wanna start on
sax too, but I don't know if its really possible to do it by myself, it
looks kinda harder than piano and guitar... what do u think?
Sorry, i didn`t get you here: "...if you play them on the Tenor it will
sound just fine if you use the tenor charts...". I`m asking about swapping
the charts. Which goes well with which ?
+HelloSaxophone Thank you for patience ! :) Tomorrow I`ll be in the sax shop and my first baby will be a YAS280. I`ve been struggling these days about the type, model, size, price, and all these things... and reading a lot about saxes, hoping not to do a mistake.
+Andrei Tncn The Tenor part only goes well with the Tenor and Alto with Alto. If you switch them you will still be playing nicely, but it won;t fit with the music :)
Hi Florian, juat a quick question. may seem stupid but i'm not even
beginner, so i ask: what happens if i play the alto notes on a tenor sax or
upside down ? Thanks a lot !
+Andrei Tncn haha, Wel if you play them on the Tenor it will sound just fin if you use the tenor charts in the video :). Up-side down playing... I've never seen anybody achieve that ;)
