forgive me for have explained that I know she mentioned a browning sauce in
the beginning.
Oh I watch the vid. The soy sauce is different from the browning. "browning sauce" is a sauce that is dark in color to added color to your food. it was an alternative if you do not want to fry the chicken. The soy sauce was used for flavor with some other sauces, ketchup and water
Oh yes halfway cooking Jamaicans do that a lot. BTW pot bottom is a
backwards way aka W.I. way of saying the bottom of the inside of the pot.
You can use scoth bonnet. You can add it to the pot with the rest of the
seasoning and flavor or you can do it a healthier way if you are about
health transfer some of the oil from the last pot and transfer it to
another with the chicken and your veggies. Note you don't have to use oil
because chicken makes its own juice to cook the chicken halfway. But if
you want crisp skin then do it that way or soggy skin or the skin doesn't
matter you can do it the other way.
that's ok. Also, for anyone wanting to make this dish if you want an authentic Jamaican taste to the brown stew leave the skin on and/or use pimento. And to give it an extra hint of flavor some people use a teaspoon of jerk sauce to wake up the real flavour of it.
I don't usually make it with the skin on..thats why I added a little oil.
