I'm ok with you. I'm french and it's great ! You use the past tense (passé composé), gerund (gérondif), and it is already good, because French grammar is difficult. I understood everything and I hope you will continue to progress! :)

I suggest you focus on enjoying the language, discovering a new world, one with thousands of years of history and representing 20% of mankind with a rich literature and philosophy..you won't want to be done with in a year. Make sure you learn the characters.

+Steve Kaufmann - lingosteve I have watched Benny Lewis for quite some time now, getting increasingly inspired by him and thinking that his methods would work on me too.I've just begun trying to learn mandarin in less than ideal conditions and as such it's discouraging to hear that even under ideal conditions it's difficult to reach C1 in mandarin in a year. I was hoping it would take a lot less time than that.

Hello Steve, I currently speak Spanish (main language) and English, I scored a 9/9 in the IELTS test of English but I started learning it since I was a little kid so the approach I took to learn my second language is not really an option any more, My current challenge is to reach B1 level in German in 4 months, living in Spain, but dedicating a significant time to learning German every day and with a lot of motivation (hopefully going to university in Germany), do you think that's a realistic challenge?

+John Conocés algun tipo de aplicacion similar a LinQ pero que sea gratiuta? Al estilo de learn with text, pero sin tener que buscar los textos por vos mismo.

+John​ usa LingQ, es magnífica. Duolingo te puede ayudar a entender la estructura, pero nada más. Memrise me parece un poco inútil ya que no hay contextos ni nada, pasas muchas horas y no aprendes a hablar tanto...Te recomiendo entre 2 y 4 horas diarias y tu progreso será magnífico. Puedes dividir las horas durante el día ;)

+Alfredo Moreno Hola Alfredo, cuantas horas al dia consideras necesarias? y crees que usando LingQ y Memrise + algunas clases con tutor sea suficiente? O hay alguna otra pagina que puedas recomendar? Me llama la atencion FluentU.

+John Hola John. Sí es una meta alcanzable, pero vas a tardar un tiempo en aprender a aprender, una vez que logres esto será más fácil... sí puedes ser B1 en 4 meses, pero necesitas estudiar mucho todos los días.
