installed this system (10 feet) the End Caps are a joke - they make no
effort in designing them to stay in place. They just sit in the ends - NDS
says use waterproof scilcon BUT that is not a glue and with a pressure at
all they will fall off. Stupid stuoidm did I say that is a stupid design.
At $50.+ dollars a 3.3' section you'd expect some sort of effort in the
attachment of the end caps. If you're connecting the drain pipes to the end
not the bottom you will need to get creative in creating a proper strong
connection. I used the silicon then used 4 screws inside the cap through
the inner lip and into the channel (using scilicon on the screws And
drilling holes first). Remember connection the 4" or 3" pipe will put
pressure on the channel drain end with just the STUPID silicone NDS
recommends the cap will just fall off with the smallest pressure. Like I
said, "what a freaking Joke!!!" Pissed-off and would not recommend!

+D Gil Thanks for reaching out and we are sorry you are furstrated with this product. In addition to waterproof silicon you can also use Welder Industrial strength adhesive or TAP poly-weld but these products must be purchased directly from the manufacturer. We recommend using waterproof silicon becasue it is widely available and once the concrete has been poured, the silicone will be dry and the concrete will provide pressure to keel everything in place. I have this channel drain system around the pool and after10 years the top
grates started collapsing under your feet in certain areas. The recessed
channel has cracked and can no longer support the top grates. I was hoping
NDS would have a fix for this, something that would fit inside the gutter
channel to support the top grates. Replacing the channel would require jack
hammering concrete and tile - not practical at this time.
