Other drivers will see that they can offer assistance or call for assistance for you. Most likely numerous people may have slowed down to asked if they needed help with something.

I have recently lost my Note 2 and wanted to ask you if you would like to film something about the security that could be used to track the phone back or just know where it is in case it's gone for good. See me filming the tire? You have to have the LCD video light to see what I am showing you since it is dark. We used the Note II video light to see the problem and it helped us call for help. Its one of those obvious implied things. Lol how could a phone save you!?!? Think about this.

I think you should stay away from cars. First you kill your battery then both tires are flat. I think we need to get you a bicycle that has tires that never go flat.

The stock Note2 assistive light is kinda dim compared to the Galaxy S3, best way to fix that is download something like Tesla LED, sooo much brighter

You are 100% correct in stating that unintelligent  people are not in many cases the ones that end up in prison nor engaging selling drugs or what not. I like to consider myself very open minded and have always given people a chance to display the content of their character. At this point in my life, I work in Glasgow, Scotland, but live primarily in Utrecht, Holland. Both my parents are black Jamaicans and if you know about history, Glasgow, Scotland is one of the cities in the UK that was built from from head to toe on the trans Atlantic Slave trade and in particular slavery in Jamaica and to also in Virginia, Florida in the USA as well as other smaller Caribbean islands. Every day I see monuments and streets named after criminals who profited from the physical, mental and sexual abuse of my forebears. Normally speaking I should hate the people in Glasgow, but given my attitude to life I let people show their character first before making a judgement. Many white people in Glasgow, which almost 100% white  behave like animals, and I mean animals without reservation, but there are also many who would in a heartbeat back me up spiritually or unfortunately in some cases violently if push came to shove. A lot of black people I know would not do that, even though I would expect them to, but also saying that many black people would. As I said, never pre judge people. On a different note, I must say for an American - well I assume you are American, your command of written English is very good. 99.9% of the people who comment on Walter's pages would fail a standard UK English grammar test - typos excluded. No offence, but I will not reply to you on this topic anymore. Perhaps when Walter goes on to another topic we can argue some more..:) 

+midatlantic09 No no no, I gotta laugh to myself a bit but no it doesn't what so ever. Ill give you crime may be affected by legal success and fitting into majority society but intelligence, not in the least. On selling drugs... I.e thugging, the reason that most resort to that road has little to do with a lack of intelligence, it's about making as much money and gathering as much clout and respect among their set of peers. Even though it's illegal when you take away whatever moral or legal issues you have with that lifestyle and look at it as a job/profession you see it for what it is. Now granted some probably do fall into the trap because for whatever reason that's all they can do or they've convinced themselves that it's the sum of their worth, the same could be said of anyone in a dead end job.  And I could do a one for one comparison with say the pharmaceutical companies, the police or politician to better align the idea of that life just being a job but I think you get my point. There are other types of intelligence than just academic and honestly to run and sustain a business that is illegal, is the subject of most of the police focus in the us and is the same business being run unsuccessfully beside you takes some level. You may think they are idiots for going down a dead end street that's fine but dont classify them all as unintelligent, as I said before then you may miss out on those same few gems that you agree exist. Not to mention the life experience gained just through listening to what lead these individuals to make these idiotic decisions. And no I'm not advocating walking up to every corner boy and trying to take down a memoir of his life I'm just saying don't be so quick to judge. When you enter a situation with your guard fortified with prejudice you tend to act according to that prejudice, not really the situation. In the end, Walter thought he was in danger so he gtfood- cool but was there really any danger besides that which his prejudice's told him might, may, could, has the opportunity to happen. 

+Persecution Avenue Of course intelligence has to do with danger. I'm willing to bet that 95% or more of the guys you see on the news wanted for violent crimes are of below average IQ. Sure, you have some intelligent criminals out here, but they are the exception, not the rule. There's a reason why most criminals are out here robbing, burglarizing, selling drugs, etc....it's because they aren't capable of doing anything else due to their lack of intelligence.

Second, there's more than one way of evaluating intelligence- anyone that can take welfare cash and turn it into a profitable drug business isn't exactly a dummy- society may believe otherwise but lets be real the proof is in the pudding. Now we couldn't debate the stupidity of going into the drug trade in general because we all know how stupid it as at the same time don't consider them unintelligent. Plus you have those older thugs that have gained wisdom through the bs that they have gone through in life. Even they may be through their thuggish days chances are, they'll still dress and carry it the same, this doesn't mean that their friendship or conversation is worthless. I understand why you feel the way you do but again it's not a good look and in the end your attitude of avoidance will probably prevent you from meeting people that you would have never thought would bring any value into your life. plus I willing to bet you've met some shiny suit guys that were straight garbage underneath it all. My point is simple, we dont know what is going through the next man's mind but bet assure that when we judge someone to be a danger strictly because they fit a mold we are guilty of the same discrimination that we cry about white people doing. intelligence has little to nothing to do with thuggishness- yet see how you jumped from this  perceived element of danger now we're making the assumption that these guys are idiots. I mean come on you can't see the slope yet?  

+Persecution Avenue I'm 28. However, it's the truth. Sure, you'll find intelligent, thuggish looking black guys here and there, but they are rare. Usually, most thuggish looking black guys are by no means intelligent and should probably be avoided. 

+midatlantic09 Until one has made it, quacks like a duck, I wish these sort of ideas didn't run through so many 40+ers, to think what the community would be if those that had made it reached back and said no you won't judge because when I was wearing my cross- colours, school boy outfit back in the 80's some one born in the 60's didn't let me be judged unfairly. Where would we be as a people if we all stop conforming and made right what should be right? As for that old saying about ducks and quacking- lol you know there's two old stories that go right along with it, but I'll leave you with the cleaner one- that duckling turned out to be a swan. +Persecution Avenue I look at it like this....until one has  truly "made it" in this world, they'd be a fool not to conform to certain social expectations unless they want people to stay away from them.  One can dress however they'd like, but they must realize that there are ramifications when one goes against the grain. Either one can deal with those ramifications, or dress in a way that's deemed more acceptable/less threatening to the masses. I'll leave you with this old saying: if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, well....good chance it's probably a duck. 

+midatlantic09 So I guess we should all conform to the standards set out by the powers that be so that we are never mistaken for what they have determined we should never be- I heard you the first time- cut the bottom lines and looks though the level of aggression is unnecessary and wasted over the internet. You said you agree fine- I say that's the sort of prejudice that needs to be fixed within our own community if we ever hope to tackle the problem of prejudice and discrimination in whole.Just remember the next time an innocent black man is shot in the streets because some out of touch, under paid boy in blue decides that he looks like a thug and is a threat, you agree that we should discriminate against people according to the way they look. It's one thing to be safe and always on guard, it's another to classify someone as a thug based on their outward appearance. Truth is, if you're in an area that is that bad that you are scared of the inhabitants of that area- maybe you shouldn't have been there in the first place, js.  

+Persecution Avenue You're saying I can't justify it, but I already did. Bottom line...if one looks like a thug, they'll get treated as one (even if they aren't truly a thug). If that doesn't sound good to them, they should change their appearance a bit and attempt to look less threatening. It's really that simple. I'd rather discriminate against someone at night while alone based on their appearance than not discriminate and end up, as Walter said, robbed, shot, and killed over $15.  

+midatlantic09 I dont have to look to see your issue- you are obviously ready to judge people based on the way that they look and that's fine- you can't  justify it though, it's the same sort of thinking that has gotten us treated so badly as a race. If you do it and think it's ok they can too, it's a simple as that. 

+Haat Praat So where do I begin- we dont have this sort of self- hatred in the black carr... well actually you do- skin tone envy is a huge issue within most Caribbean cultures is it not? Isn't it also the norm in most c.c. to have abandoned their own heritage to embrace that of their oppressors- Christianity is wide spread is it not? As for the leaders you named beautiful roll call but a roll call of stellar stand outs does not a people speak for. Look to the common people in the culture therein lies the truth. Even the idea of you trying to separate black Americans and black Caribbean into different sects like that is exemplary of that self- hatred- at the end of the day the majority of the Negroes in the Caribbean are there from the slave trade and therein part of the same lineage yet you sought to distinguish yourself- instead of admitting the problem is what it is. We hate ourselves and then even when we get away from a lot of the bs street mentality that has lead so many wrong we turn our hate toward them for not doing as we have or attempting to be who we think we are.   My last question  you said that you've mingled more with ... and basically it seems that you are outside of the us, probably in a U.K. controlled part of the Caribbean I'm assuming. My question is this- have you actually experienced what it is to be a young black man in America judged solely on your fashion choice, posture or speaking syntax? Just curious. 

+Persecution Avenue Look, just like Walter, I avoid those who look like thugs. I don't care if you're one final exam away from becoming a Harvard summa cum laude graduate....if you dress/look comparable to the guys I see on the news wanted for serious felony crimes, I will avoid you and not think twice about it. That said, if people don't want to be perceived as dangerous, then stop looking dangerous. This means get rid of the extra baggy jeans, the hoodies (unless it's legitimately cold out), wearing durags out in public, the tattoos, and those "crime beards" that many of the black criminals seem to sport these days. 

+Persecution Avenue Speaking for myself, I never judge people unless I know them well enough to make that judgement. Too often in life I have been pleasantly surprised and horrified about people. So now I do not really bother in making assumptions. I honestly think this black self hatred is a black American thing. We (black Caribbean) do not have it. We gave the world Marcus Garvey, Rastafarianism and even Farrakhan and one of the prominent black panther leaders, Stokely Carmichael. In Haiti we defeated the French and formed the 1st black nation. Black nationalism was forged in the Caribbean. We do not call each other 'niggers' as a term of endearment. As for this concept of the black community - what exactly is that? We are all different, with different aspirations, opinions, languages and general outlooks on life. I, myself have mingled far more with black people who speak Dutch as a first language than black Americans. If black Americans - as the most prominent people in the black diaspora  ditched this self hate stuff that has even gone into a gender war, there would be no slippery slope for black people as a whole.

+midatlantic09 But can you tell the difference between a 20 something black college student on his/ her way to become a professional and a twenty something corner boy on his way to becoming a statistic? Judging someone's character simply on what you perceive is a slippery slope, one that has cost black people and is partially responsible for the self- hatred that has already torn our community apart and is now lending fuel and false validation to most anti- black causes.
