That is not an Internet card that's a fucking remote for the computer so if
you're watching DVDs instead of clicking buttons on the computer you can
use the remote you really don't know shit about computers

just a friendly word of advice, i bought a hp pavillion dvxxxx ---> cant
remember the number, but the hp dv series has serious problems, the idiots
at HP knew that they were making faulty parts but made these laptops still,
ask any technicion, the mother board will fry within 1-2 years and your
laptop will then be garbage, the chip is what gets fried, also, the fan
doesnt run properly, that thing generates way too much heat, i just want to
save everyone some money, dont buy these laptops.
i have the dv 6000 6920ea upgraded with 2.5 gig dual core 2 4 gig ram 500
gig 7200 hard drive wireless N card bluetooth 12 cell extended battery,
windows 7 pro 64 bit built in blueray player .but that come as standard on
this model. also 256 nvidia 8400 m is standard as i dont think i can
upgrade. i have had this laptop for 2 years exc , and its super fast. i
dont play games mainly use for photo editing moving editing and pro audio
apps. its a good laptop ,

HANG HANG HANG.
I am typing this review on the HP Pavilion itself. Yes, this is a decent
computer with a decent processor and memory. From switching to my school
computer (2009 Macbook) to my personal (HP DV6000) Yes it can connect to
WIFI, that is obvious. It does have some initial troubles connect to WIFI
when I installed Linux on it. But it recognized my Ethernet cable. It is
very durable I take it school with me every week. Overall this is a good
computer.
don't go dell either. Both HP and Dell design their computers to fail after
some time. This way they keep people coming back, and they are able to sell
the new technologies as they come through. Also, both HP and Dell come with
arguably more spam and harmful software on it than you could on the
internet. If you are staying with pc then I suggest samsung. Otherwise the
MacBooks are a good option
Its nice to know that I'm not the only one with this computer to overheat.
I've had this for about a year and a half, and if I don't have a fan
blowing on it, it overheats pretty fast. I just got to my moms house,
turned it on last night, started downloading something, and it still hasn't
crashed. I'm proud of it for now ( I don't have a fan here, if it over
heats I'll have to get one :()
i have a dv 6000 model 6920ea has 4 gig of ram 320 7200 rpm hard drive,
intel duo core 2.2 gig cpu, blue ray player , hdmi etc. nvidia 8400 gs 256
mn ram windows 7 pro. its mint condition and cost me. £ 190 on ebay great
machine had it for 4 months and its fast.i got a bargin. as when they come
out they were £649
$800 worth of junk for many owners. Overheats, burns out the wireless card
and then the motherboard thanks to chipsets that NVidia knew to be faulty
for years. They run so hot that the solder melts. We would invite the kid
who did this review to state whether his notebook is still working. Don't
buy HP!
im thinking about buying this laptop coz my hp mini 2140 is not really
working with me well i need a laptop with a much bigger screen and a cd/dvd
slot thing but im not really sure if this is good, can u increase the ram
up to 4gb..is it good i need an opinion frm sm1 thnx
This series of Laptops all had a motherboard fault, it costs over £250 to
get it fixed in pcworld, or you can go to ebay and buy a replacement
motherboard for cheaper, and put it in yourself. A great laptop though in
the short time I used it, played BF2,L4D easily
had mine since 2007, playing diablo 3 on it now at low settings, gets
100fps+ on minecraft multiplayer, dont underestimate the power of a
well-kept laptop. mines is 2gb ram and nvidia geforce 8400m with 128mb
vRam, sounds like crap but works, will be upgrading soon
@ComputerTech999 you can put 4gb of ram in it as long as it has a 64 bit OS
most of them are running vista which i recommend changing as soon as you
get one you can get 500gb hard drive for it and put 4gb ram in it you can
do anything these days lol.
@thatguylol22 Yes..you are right...ive had mine for 3 yrs...the first yr
the graphics card just stopped working, had to send it back. it got so
overheated that the rubber grips on the bottom actually MELTED off. I'll
never buy an HP again.
Three things that makes a laptop perfect. 1. GHZ over 2.50. 2. Over 2GB
RAM. 3. Good graphic card like Nvdia GeForce and AMD Radeon HD 1GB RAM.
Very good for gaming (no lag/ freeze) and good for using alot of heavy
using programs!
i got a hp pavillion dv6000 and it has been running for 4 years so far. and
the only problem was that the speaker system got broken and we had to
replace it but because of that the microphone is jacked up but it works.
Ive had mone for 2 yrs..the network card went ka-put & i had to send it
back...it also over heats fast. i just added another ram to it...but hardly
any difference except it starts faster...id never buy another HP
Had mine since they came out. Still works like a charm, I have a bunch of
crap that takes up space and slows it down but every few years I clean it
up and it's still quick. Has done me very well over the years.
hey every1..need ur help..i m also having hap pavillion dv6000 bt i am
facing 2 much prob..despite having 4gb ram n 160gb hdd..its running lke

HP Pavillion dv6000 review
Not really. I'm just rambling about this and that. Loosely related to the laptop.

I've had this computer for over 2 years now with XP installed and it's been
a mixed bag. It can take everything I throw at it but the hardware has been
breaking down significantly. The biggest problem is that the ethernet port
no longer works, the speakers are dead, the microphone is dead. Disc drive
is starting to give me problems now. Also, the battery died, and oh, the
power button doesn't work either. I have to turn it on by touching the
quick play buttons at the top. quite a mess
Great Review I have the same laptop and I defiantly agree with you On aug
11th 2009 my laptop will be 1 year old, I have had 2 hard drive replacement
and the screen is jumping, hp customer service to me personally is a great
service but like you said as the year goes by the hp laptop is slowing
down. Now today I wish I did purchase the 2 year warranty when i bought my
laptop I have to purchase a new laptop whn school starts what laptop would
you reccommend?
I've had the 2gb version of this laptop for about a 1 year 7 months now and
I've had no problems except for the rubber things falling off. My brother
bought a mac and I gotta say it's the biggest waste of money ever. The
specs are relatively the same as mine and it was almost £1000, I don't know
what that is in dollars but it's almost double the price I paid for the
laptop..
I had the same model, and it would restart randomly and the left mouse
clicker did not work, and finally internet would not work, and the
motherboard was fried. I had problems with the power cord too--it got to
the point where the laptop would not charge! It was unfortunate, but it
lasted me 4 years, and now I have an HP dv4, and so far so good!
i've had my dv6000 for 4 years now and it's still doing well. got some
problems though, the battery is always at 0% and it occasionally turns off
by itself. But i changed mine to windows xp because i had problems with
vista and now i'm on windows 7. I might be getting an alienware computer or
an imac within a year and get rid of mine
your dv6000 still works after a year!. mine had the wireless issues that
everyone is talking about then it had the speaker cable problem then it had
the video card issue then the harddrive issue. in the end i had to get a
new motherboard (Quanta 30B8) and upgrade the bios to f.40. hopefully it
doesent happen again.
i got a compaq presario c570ea and i got it on 6-2007 and now the battery
is so so weak if i am in high preformace it last 10 min and if on power
saver and wifi and every thing off and low and i am not doing any thing
with it , it lasts 30 min ... is there any thing i can do
that could be :) i'm not in love with windows vista. maybe will do windows
7 it so much better. i hope so, cause i'm getting it free. and when the
summer begins i will get a macbook pro for free. don't blaim me on my bad
english i'm just from holland. xd
Make it look good through cuts of the computer screen, showing examples of
what you're talking about. websites, comparisons to other computers,
something to make it aesthetic. and making at least a mild effort to sound
charismatic.
you can't maintain a laptop well. mine's been 3 years of usage. 3gb ram!
and i only had one little ruber thing tht came off. and you can pop it back
in ! i did! now its perfect. the only issue with this laptop is the charge
!
i heard that when i am at home i must take off the battery and keep the
laptop plugged in because if i connect the laptop with power and the
battery is in .. this helps in damging the battery or draining it .... is
this true?
Hi there i need some help! i have the HP Pavillion DV6000 but its the Blu
ray one and i wanted to know if it has bluetooth on it like the others
beacuse i cant find the bluetooth on this please can sumone msg bk thanks
alot
I had the same problem with my other laptop, This particular one didn't
have it on it... But when i did find the Blue tooth program, it said it
couldn't find the adapter... I would call HP, however that's all i guess :p
if i had to choose... I would go apple. Best value... but... I had a few
problems with his one... Not many... But a few... and i ended up selling
it. But ultimately you cant buy it anymore... its over a year old :p
I have mine for 6 years now, i really buy a new one, had to change the
screen and 2 new cable. but it was good. used like 5 to 10 hs per day since
2006. but really sucks now. i want to buy a sony vaio.
The computer is currently running Vista Ultimate, Still cant get it to work
but half of the time :P, I HAS worked in the past, its just whenever it
wants to. I dont carry the computer anymore :P
@justinaurelius mine blow up a week after the warrenty voids, same with my
dv5 i bought 2 months after its purchase, and i regret that. i dont doubt
its performance but i doubt its design
