I bought the 870m. Should show up next week. It'll be replacing my Asus RoG74. Can't wait. I'm pretty excited. Hope your still enjoying it.

This will be my first msi. I'm currently using a Asus RoG G74sx. Check out the gpu benchmarks of the apache. The pro probably comes with the ssd-which is much better than the hdd. Msi gt70 dominator comes with a hdd so ill wait to the holidays to replace the hdd with a ssd.

i got mine off Amazon. It was about 1330 post tax. The one in this vid will be 1800-2k because of the sata ssd and the 880m

Question: Okay a lot of games say they need 2-4 gb ram but the msi has 3gb ram would this be a problem. also the 1 TB HDD is the hard drive space right? This thing has 32gb of ram. He was refering the the GPU's ram, which is different and is usualy only between 1-4Gb

ok bro. Look if you have a chance to get a 4k display maybe some benchmarks for 980m on 4k.. I am desperately trying to to get them .. damn i just bought a msi gt70 2pc dominator, guess i was tricked. i cant run watch dogs more than an hour without dis cooler boost which makes a loud ass noise.

Okay this MY opinion.i live at Malaysia.I think that both of these awesome brands are superb. but the price of an Alienware at Malaysia ( using 4th gen intel core i7 ) is only RM4000+ a pretty low price for a 4th gen i7. while an msi (using only a 3rd gen i7 processor) is amazingly RM6000+ - RM8000+ in malaysia.and the alienware has now not only an amazing price but amazing graphics performance.and an amazing battery life because of their processor. so, this only an opinion. of what i think.

Are you seriously asking that question? Alienware's no more than a fancy, over-priced lightshow than anything else. They rip your wallet in two for a system that's more than likely mid-to-low end. For the money you spend on an alienware, you could easily afford a future proof desktop, pre-built or custom made, for half the price. Guranteed. This MSI laptop is amazing, spec-wise, but the price is a bit over the top, even for me. But their lower-end GTX 660m and 670m are pretty legit.

I will always be happy to help people. The keyboard feels good, but if you are used to using a smaller one it has a steep learning curve. The fact that it lights up is amazing when in dark places, and the keyboard feels very nice once yo get used to it. As for the display, 17 inch is very nice. Especially if you are a gamer, because everything on this computer is crystal clear. I definitely reccomend it if you are willing to shell out a lot of money, but it is definitely worth it.

well that seems nice actually i was invited by intel malaysia to the haswell launch and they wanted me to review all the laptops including this one and the alienware m17 and m14 using 4th gen processor.and i say that the alienware m17 is overpowered by its ram.feautured with a 32gb ram i say its an awesome laptop but comparing to the msi too its an awesome laptop too lol.!

I don't know how to compare that to American currency, but it doesn't take a genius to understand that more numbers means more money you have to spend. If the Alienware is cheaper and better, go for it. I never said it was a bad computer, just overpriced from what I've seen and compared.

dude amd and nvidia are difference and plus you can't compare the two difference brand if you gonna compare try compare the radeon hd 7970 to the newest amd gpu that will see but if you're gonna compare two difference brand gpu its like you're comparing a pen to a pencil

well i don't want a desktop if i didn't want to take its places i would get a desktop obviously + you can get an alienware with the same specs for about 300$ more except with the 3d bundle + a HDMI in port so that i will be able to play my ps3 on it as well.

what's the build quality on this laptop like? I heard it's very easy to damage so I'm thinking of getting the new alienware 17 just so it'll last longer cuz I want to play on the lapto for 2-3 years what would you guys recommend MSI or AW?

Dude, you have it all wrong. Alienware is not low end. You are getting the best for what you're paying. Yes it is a lot but it worth it. MSI is comparable to Alienware and i would love to have both. Its more of an opinion.

This Laptop has the Nvidia GTX Geforce 780 that Nvidia has Just released and its the best GPU out For Laptops Period You are Not Going to Beat this GPU unless Nvidia decides to release a newer GPU.

The bag is a Targus Demolition that you can get other places. It doesn't have the MSI logo, but if that's an issue go make friends with an embroiderer :D

IMO its not as sexy. Its amazing, dual ssds and gtx 680 for $2,300. But its ugly, it seems the uglier the laptop the better. this is ugly (compared to asus, alienware), but its the best! Lets see, Alienware with these specs is $4000. I customized onebut its too expensive. Razer looks sexiest, but its specs are terrible for $2500, worse than this, and it overheats alot. So, I'm left with this. I'm not complaining, its sexier than most laptops, but just not as good looking as Alienware and Razer.
