I put games, movies, junk I know will come off on the hdd and things I use daily on ssd. Software like excel and outlook just pops open like I'm opening a folder. +andyouf hope you scored the ssd.  you won't miss that $200 in two months but you'll be thrilled with 5 years of 10 second (or less) boot times and your programs snapping to when you want 'em.

The non-flashy looks sell me. Everything else has neon or huge red badges or led everywhere. I want to use this for gaming and for meetings at work. I don't want republic of gamers of all over the laptop. Just tying to decide whether to spend $200 more for the 256gb ssd version.

Also ghz and hz is different units. So I am sorry, but you should probably finish middle school before you start talking ;)

The monitor obviously got more hz than your laptop screen, and will there for give you a smoother experience since it can use more of your graphic card. The thing is that almost every single monitor today got 60-144hz, which means they can only see 60-144 FPS. Your laptop monitor maybe only had 60hz, while your regular monitor had 144hz, so aslong as your GPU is capable of it you will see more FPS on the regular monitor. There is no monitor with 1000hz, so therefor 1000 FPS is useless. You are the one fool here ..
