Videographers take note - see those few seconds AFTER the song? PRICELESS! Thanks so much for NOT stopping your camera too soon. Those seconds often tell so much about what is going through David Cook's mind. The audio file is easy to edit if you want an MP3 without these later -- but they dramatically increase the quality of a VID of a live performance. YEH!

@SpearWarrior671 The Cars; the late Benjamin Orr their bass player some other footage on YouTube showing him singing this live. The original video featured Rick Ocasik's wife Paulina. Great cover by David Cook, who seems to be one of the best cover AND original artists I've heard in 40 years

I love this, but David can sing anything and I'd love it, because I love The Voice! And the icing on the Cookie is that he is a beautiful man, inside and out. I love Davids phrasing....major chills....this is one of my favorite Cars songs and "Mr King" of the covers worked his magic once again. His voice is like no other, draws you in and keeps you there. I'm a fan for life!!!! Love his Rolling in the deep cover even more.

I love the inflection in David's voice when he sings "scream" at 1:55 and "wrong" at 3:36 and the deep richness of his voice in other places like on the word "tonight" a lot. His version of this song is so amazing, haunting, beautiful, and now a favorite for me!

This is gorgeous. I've only seen David once in concert (on tour with The Script), and the acoustics for our seats were awful! Love David, and love The Script, but we could only hear the drummers. So...I live vicariously through the videos of others. ;-)

This song really pulls at the heartstrings and David did an excellent job covering it. It was funny when the dog barked...broke his intensity. Have to say too, I'm lovin' those pantz! Looking good, Mr. Cook, as always ;)

I LOVE Dave's version of this song. He puts so much emotion into the song. You can clearly see around 3:50 as he just plays the guitar, his emotions are on high. I'm glad the dogs started barking and forced him to laugh. It seems he needed that laughter to take his mind of the words in the song. I just love to see his emotional side - it is very, very special and endearing. I LOVE YOU DAVE

Wow, David's version of this song is a-m-a-z-i-n-g! I get serious goosebumps listening to him sing this. I hope he continues to perform this one on the tour, along with Rolling in the Deep, b/c I will def be seeing him when he goes on tour with the new album this summer!
