+‫אסנת ב‬‎ If you have brown sugar less expensively there, you can make a bit of molasses by adding a small bit of water to brown sugar and carefully heating it to melt the sugar and make a syrup. Not usually as good as Molasses, but almost :) Thanks!

Right .. Honey is great here. Yet I discovered that molasses, and it turns out that you can buy in the store organic products. Very expensive ... anyway I'll look and I'll make. Thank you very much.

+‫אסנת ב‬‎ I think in Israel, honey is more common is it not? Molasses is common here in the states, but no, it is not made by a grandmother. It is only misleading untruthful advertising which is most common here in USA. The Molasses bought in stores is almost always made in large factories. I didn't know that, it's just that Laura posted this recipe like 4 days ago so I thought Allrecipes got it from her... but anyway

No, it's not.  Laura Vitale didn't create this recipe, and Allrecipes is using a recipe that was first posted on their website over a decade ago.  So using your logic, Laura Vitale needs to give credit to Allrecipes.  Or better yet, you could realize that a basic sugar cookie recipe twisted into the shape of a candy cane is not an original recipe or thought.

Are you freaking serious? I love both channels and am one of her subscribers but she did not INVENT candy cane cookies! If you search some there's been recipes WAY BEFORE hers! Go look at Youtube, Google etc! Jeez I swear we live in a world where we can't even do anything without accusations of copying! Allrecipes can do what they like, Laura can do what she likes! It's just a recipe! Most recipes are so similar, I don't get why people are calling it as 'copying'!

Allrecipes posted this recipe. On their website. In 2000. ... of course the recipe is much older than that. Or the Internet in general.

yep their favorite part is the cooling because they get to watch tv and a couple hours later they go THE COOKIES!!!!!!!!!
