Hi Overactiveeyeball, You're welcome :) Yes, you can definitely add olives, onions and mushrooms to this recipe, that actually sounds very good. Give it a try and let us know how it turned out. Most of the recipes I make are versatile so that you can add or subtract what you like and don't like. Silke

Hey BBQPB! I'm a college student in my first apartment, so I want to try a lot more home cooking, but I'm really restricted on space, time and money so I cant cook anything too big or pricey. I really enjoyed your Cornish game hen video you guys made a while back, and I was curious if you guys could revisit that with a new recipe I could try. I'm sure if anyone could come up with another great Cornish game hen dish it would be you guys. Thanks for the great videos!
https://gp6.googleusercontent.com/--L5QzgZMaGM/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/lZA_ajilzGE/s48-c-k-no/photo.jpg?sz=64
I use half inch sirloin porkchops, I put them in a pan with warm water to defrost and also soak in sole water, put them in a bowl and pour out excess water then let them marinate for 20min while getting the grill started, sear 2 min then off the coals and turn them everytime u take off the others off the coals. Keep them medium and they come out just as moist and tasty. Never gets dry
https://gp3.googleusercontent.com/-8be1fBtsHmc/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/pRrl2hLVR1U/s48-c-k-no/photo.jpg?sz=64
Looks great! I only have a gas grill, since you aren't allowed to use coal grills on the balconies in my apartment building, so it's not easy to smoke stuff. Btw, about that t-shirt your friend is wearing, here in Norway therapy is cheap because of socialized medicine, but beer is really expensive because of alcohol tax, expensive logistics etc. Kinda funny how it's the opposite :)

Man, look at the color on those chops! Nice job with the skewers and the staggering - I never would've thought of that one. Oh, and by the way...POTATO BOMBS!! (we love those things - try 'em with compound butters like my garlic butter). Another great vid guys!

could have shortened the clip but I kinda like watching haha. I'm about to buy a charcoal grill because the propane just doesn't give the same flavor. I hope I can start a chapter someday in Toronto Canada haha. Thanks for the vid boys, your guys are awesome!

do you get those half inch cuts at the super market? that may be your problem, i get those for fried chops, but that is more about the breading. if you want good juicy chops they need to be thick, at least an inch.

Why pat dry and then baste?
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-EBigrC8zSR4/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAEI/OGAKye4WhGI/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Allrecipes Stupid answer, you basted the part of the meat that wasn't yet grilled.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-OSTQkqPgHNA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABA/ZyAYJtsEwOc/photo.jpg?sz=64
+aznmickster IKR it seems meaningless to pat dry the meat before grilling IF YOU'RE GONNA BRUSH IT WITH THE MARINATE ANYWAY on the grill... lol
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-nVEDlVwhNrs/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAN68/GGIkmat2OFM/photo.jpg?sz=64
Patting the meat dry, aznmickster, ensures an even coating, and allows a fast sear. Give it a try!
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
So you can get a nice sear on the meat it won't sear if it's wet

Yum, just bought nectarines yesterday. My pork chops always end up tough but maybe the brining trick will help with that. Really wanna try this!
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-y8DP_GP4qv4/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/JuAdGuIG1Jc/photo.jpg?sz=64
+trishainthekitchen Yes the brinning and buying them bone-in and not over cooking is the secret to success! :)
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-nVwaULDAEzk/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAABE/s21Xn08jFPA/photo.jpg?sz=64
Hi Beth! Thank you for this great recipe. Can you recommend how many time do I refrigerate my pork in a brine and grill it if I'll use a grill pan? Does cocking time depend from a type of a grill?
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-y8DP_GP4qv4/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAMQ/JuAdGuIG1Jc/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Kateryna_knits Sure you should brine the chops for at least 4 hours and then with a grill pan, I'd say 7-8 mins on each side depending upon how thick they are. Or you can also grill them until they have nice grill marks (3-5 mins each side) and then pop in a 350F oven for 10 mins or so to finish cooking through. Enjoy! :)
