Japan Earthquake Swarm Google Earth Animation
Quick video showing earthquakes in Japan between 9 March and 14 March. 1 hour ~ 1 second. Big one is around 1:17. Donate money for Japan here: ...
Technically I doubt that nickerlesstezla has personally killed two cities
with nukes. The problem with nickerlesstezla's post is that he/she blames
todays Japanese population for something their grandparents did in the
40's, and that is something you just did yourself. I am not my parents or
grandparents, and I am not my children or grandchildren. I am also not my
nation's leaders, but so many assume such things for positive or negative
effect, and it is a silly thing to do.
A truly impressive film -- as much for the elegant simplicity of the idea
as for how well it is carried off. There's just one small quibble:
According to the USGS, the subduction zone in question is between the
Pacific plate and (believe it or not) the North America plate, on which the
main islands of Japan happen to rest. The Eurasian plate, according to
their map, doesn't start until one has traveled further west to about the
area of Lake Baykal, in Siberia.
I'm sorry for replying so late, but you're vastly misinformed. The atomic
bombs were dropped 4 months after Germany surrendered. The reason was to
force a surrender from Japan before Russia could invade. USA wanted a
capitalist Japan. Also, Japan would have joined the Allies had Wilson not
vetoed the racial equality bill Japan proposed to the league of nations.
And Pearl harbour happened because the US was defending its allies'
racist/colonial interests.
In other news...the earthquake blob sizes are a tad misleading due to the
lack of homage to the Richter scale, but it does give a good impression of
how earthquake events are made of several smaller tremors. It also shows
how crazy Japan's seismology is, as a fairly large earthquake occurred for
a few minutes on the west coast as well, indicating that Japan's mountains
are possibly growing. Have a 7/10.
@vlindervvv Right now the worst of it is only aftershocks, which still
haven't stopped. You can fear and be afraid of earthquakes your entire
life, but nobody knows when they are going to happen. Japan has been
preparing for the Tokai earthquake for decades, and as of now it's "late".
Nobody can predict earthquakes. Anybody who says they can should lose all
credibility. Science is not there yet.
@taro5085 Im really sorry for what's happening over there I know you guys
are passing through difficult times and once again am REALLY SORRY!!! im
doing everything to help you guys over there and the only thing you can do
now is pray for everything to come out good. And Don't say negative things
because that can ruin everything..
Right! That does not make this NATURAL disaster any less painful to these
people. Yeah, people, not, Japanese, not American, not Canadian, not
Hungarians.... PEOPLES! Why does it make any difference what some people
did more than 70 years ago when PEOPLES are suffering now!? I have no
sympathy for PEOPLE like you!
@vlindervvv You obviously don't realize how much background radiation you
come into contact with everyday of your life. Stop being so selfish and
worrying about yourself when your so far away. Show concern for the
Japanese people who have had family and homes destroyed because of this
tragedy.
Haha, not exactly. It's losing land to the sea, but this due to it being
squashed horizontally, making the mountains grow. Rather like Iceland,
actually...the country is just unfortunately caught on the boundary between
two enormous plates (Eurasian and Pacific) and is being squeezed.
Ohh ok our tax dollars. well I'm sorry we live under a tyrannical
government that forces us to pay taxes and if we don't we go to jail for a
decent amount of time possibly even prison. Just because we are forced to
pay taxes does not mean we condone the actions of our government.
I don't agree with Nickerlesstezla at all... But you do realize he's not
American, right? "Me grandad"? Which American speaks like that?
"Nicker-less"? Only people in the UK say "Nickers", I think. Yeah..... So
Gremo, be advised... You're using the wrong subject for retaliation.
@Bobzeedo They're called aftershocks. A well understood phenomena
associated with the big earthquakes. Further, seismic displacement further
demonstrates how differential tension loading results in earthquakes along
the same seismic region. So, it's not exactly big shocking news.
As somebody who is living through this in Japan, it's amazing to see all of
this put out so simply in a visual way. The day of the quake... before
hand.... it was like the quake on Wednesday never happened. And then
wham.... everything changed. Forever.
This earthquake has nothing with WWII, japan bomb pearl harbour and USA
bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan has surrender and now we need to help
Japan to rebuild! My country was also once being conquer by Japan too! So u
shut up!
@vlindervvv You should not be concerned about radiation AT ALL. You're a
quarter of the way across the world from it. You will get substantially
more radiation from eating a banana than you will from the reactor. Chill.
Probably 99.9% of the people killed or affected by this earthquake in the
most devastating of ways had nothing to do with WWII. You are 100% a
disgrace to whatever land you come from if you think anyone deserves this.
Many thanks from JAPAN. I feel your animation has an insight something to
what happened on 3.11 about the tragedy of us. The song with the animation
is also appropriate for expressing the sadness of our minds.
@nickerlesstezla People like you deserve to be in the places of all the
poor innocent people that died. How disgusting, useless racist rednecks.
Your drandad went to war, what to fuck do you expect..
The country of Japan is a sismic cauldrum of a fatealistic death cult which
for some reason possesses the rest of us too. Death Wish, kill the planet.
I really don’t think...................
@nickerlesstezla "My Grandpab went to WW2 *slaps his sisters ass while
motioning her to get him another beer from the trailer fridge* and he done
gone killed some of them zipperheads, durp."
Better make the big quakes' circles much bigger. Magnitude is a log scale,
you know, and it's actually close to our real feel, living on this
archipelago, like this: watch?v=a6_fb8RTY_8
@nickerlesstezla Wow... and rice. Because ALL rice is asian. What a dumb
ass. Ignorance is so bliss nowdays it's not even funny. It scares me what
our generation is going to become...
@nickerlesstezla Just FORGET IT that was about SEVENTY YEARS AGO and we
BOMBED THEM to get REVENGE over PEARL HARBOR and THE ATTACKS and now we are
ALLIES so just FORGET IT!!!
Congratulations for the video!! It is impressive!!!!!!! thank you for let
us realise how lucky we are living safe from this kind of natural
dissasters!!! XXX From Spain! :)
Agreed with getplaning.... haunting. Plaintive. Inexorable. Sad and
ominous. Google, you're the Best! Thank you for helping us understand our
Earth so much better.
@Gremo Is it really necessary to hate on some one just for where they live?
The citizens of the area have nothing to do with what is going on in the
government.
is this where the beast will rise from the sea? The devil is digging his
way up. or haarp using some kind of tesla energy wave for about a week
until... this??
@BHSbratsche I agree, Being here in Northern Japan this video hit home more
then the destruction at the local port. I too had a tear in my eye watching
this.
What I was going to say, only you said it more eloquently *tips hat* we
should be perceived for who we are individually, not for what our ancestors
did.
I thought Google was bad but google Crom is worse so switch to bing to save
the world and u won't have to suffer the skittles because googles with
skitals and if aliens come they will not be here to kill they will be there
to kill u if u roul the skittles
+William Szkwarek I don't know if it was on purpose or not. If it was on purpose, then this is a masterful display of the ability to sound like a complete retard. If it was NOT on purpose, then this is the masterful display of a retard in action. Neither of these options are an accomplishment.
words cannot describe how little intellect there was in that sentence.
