thanks allot for the helpful video. I actually like this way better. Why? well if you have to go to someones profile to disconnect them, it will show that person that you have viewed their profile. Then this way they can discover that you have viewed and un-frended them. As for the current linkedin way to disconnect. You remain discrete.

PLEASE UPDATE: linkedin page no longer looks like this ( of course LinkedIn purposely hides how to disconnect from people, because their business model relies on trying to permanently glue people together)

Is there a way to block someone from seeing your profile. I plan to delete someone and would like to also block them, I don't want them even to see my profile.

Your solution no longer works. Now you must click on CONNECTIONS then scroll down to SEARCH RECENT CONVERSATIONS. Then type in that person's name. When you see that person, click the box next to them. Use the Pull down menu for MORE and REMOVE CONNECTION will be an option.
