i had a feeling this was the problem... but i had another problem... My lock on the outside was loose. so everytime i stuck it in the reader slot it always locked itself, as it was fat to loose.

@kungfubug you just pull the switch out and put a small piece of tape over the entire hole, just make it small so your sd card wont get stuck in your computer or camera or whatever

My SD card was on unlock and it didn't work, then I locked and unlocked it and it works perfectly.

i did this, but somehow it still says that my sd card is write-protected?, anything i could do?

I get the "The disk is write-protected" error while copying "not before I copy" files into my usb flash memory, when I put the flash memory in another port I can format it and copy files into it but while copying I get the same error again, I have tested the flash memory on another desktops and it works fine I only get this error on my pc, any help?
