Any photo into a jigsaw puzzle - Photoshop - Week 21

I am using CS6. Puzzle is not included in textures. I have downloaded it,
but when I follow your instructions (File, open, presets, textures, puzzle,
open) it opens the puzzle as a new photoshop document and I cannot get it
to lay overtop of my photo. Can anyone advise?
+Charlene Peel I ran into the same problem. Here is the Adobe download link. //www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4688 Just be sure to download it where you can find it. I placed mine in the path that was mentioned in the video.
I wanted to make a jigsaw photo but when I looked into it I learned that
they removed it from CS6 and that's what I have, this really blows and I'm
surprised Adobe removed this since it couldn't have taken up much room and
I'm pissed I can't make a jigsaw picture when people with older versions
can.
+mike jduk Thanks very much for taking the time to write down these help notes, I doubt I'll bother with this as it seems like too much hassle for little pay and I wanted the puzzle with lots of pieces since that's the one that looks better. When you say 'template' do you mean as a psd ?
I agree it's disappointing that Adobe have dropped the Jigsaw Puzzle preset in their later versions of PS however, there are ways around it, depending on how badly you want your chosen image in a jigsaw design. 1. Google 'Jigsaw Puzzle' images 2. Right click and save images to your HD. Best to choose one that has fewer pieces. 3. Import whichever puzzle you want in to PS 4. Use the 'Magic Eraser' tool to delete the background colour (White); leaving you with just the puzzle lines on a transparent background 5. Duplicate this layer according to how many jigsaw pieces there are 6. Starting from top left corner. Leave the first piece in place and remove all the others. Repeat the exercise for each piece. You'll need to touch up the lines round the edges of the pieces. 7. Save this as a PSD file. Then when you're ready to attach it to a picture, you will need to import and duplicate your image and insert it in between each individual puzzle layer. And, as you did with the puzzle pieces, you will need to remove all of the image, leaving only that in the piece you're working on. Hope you can follow that. The alternative is, you can of course buy a ready made template for about £10.
