+Derrick Wade Vegeta is now considered a good guy! That is why he did get his life back. He can be an ashole sometimes but I love him. Also Goku is a great character. Those 2 are mine favorites. And yes he does care about Earth now and he develops even more in Dragon Ball Super.

+Derrick Wade Piccolo was also great in terms of an arc. Vegeta just took longer but you bring up some good points. 

+Nexus Playthroughs Piccolo has an actual character arc and changed as a person. Vegeta is just pissed off and wants to be better than Goku the entire series. The only reason he doesn't stay an enemy of the Z fighters is because he needs their technology to train and he enjoys having Goku as his rival. Even when he fights Buu and Cell, its to show that he is the greatest fighter, not because he actually cares about the fate of Earth.

+Derrick Wade Because he changes and has an actual character arc? Yeah he's a dick but same can be said of Goku for fucking around and not killing Cell or Buu when he could've.

+Anyway Channel. I agree if kids had to see the series for the first time I'd tell em to watch the Ocean dub version mainly cause even for kids they need something gentler for the series....just not KAI shudder however when they get old enough to watch the true version than its funimation time or original dub

+Nick Lancial Yeah I still like the ocean dub to. It was the 1st dub of the series I watched and I have a certain nostalgia for it.Its just I prefer funi sense not only does it treat the show more proper but its also the dominate media for it.I mean really people can bitch and moan which is better all they want but its not going to change anything.

+Anyway Channel. I saw the funimation dub later in life and being older it was better in many ways but as a kid this was a funny and awesome way to show this scene...although personally I liked how their voices progressed through the series...whats more is  I like the Ocean dub of Vegeta after he found out Gohan had stolen his dragon ball and went NUTS and the gave him that awesome echoing effect when he said "you'll face MY WRATH!!!!" cause it just made everything sound just better

Not really. Ocean dub sounds and makes Dbz look like a saturday morning cartoon.I guess that was their goal but eithier way its not Dbz and Funimation will always deliver it better.

Even so, Funi has the better translation, it's pronounced "kwee" and even if it wasn't this dub would still be garbage.

Any dub of DBZ that refers to Bardok as a brilliant scientist is trash, rule of thumb. If I could say one positive thing about the Ocean dub it's that Bryan Drummond does a great job as Vegeta.

I thought the Funimation dub was the Australian accent, and the Ocean dub was Wales.  Listen to the two side by side.  It's not the same accent.
