Low-Carb Key Lime Pie
This is being "re-released" so if you've seen it before, don't feel even slightly obligated to watch it again! YouTube deleted the old edition of it because of ...
The pie looks delicious! I had 2 of my videos deleted by You Tube a few
days ago due to "video gaming". I don't know what that's all about, but
it's very frustrating!
Greg, wow! That is very interesting! There must be a substantial percentage of us who are victims of hackers. It's unreasonable to think that guys like us are doing any "gaming!" It's comforting to know that I'm not alone! I very much appreciate your kind words! Thanks!
You know, it's not as if you are getting anything whether there are three
views or 30,000. You are not monetizing your videos. It has to be a bot
thing, really. Garbage in, garbage out as the saying goes. It's like the
government-- go to the post office down the street. No competition!
Ms. Cheeks, I mean Lulu! Hi! So good to see you here! There is very little incentive for YouTube to keep good control of what's going on if it's almost a monopoly, huh? Thank you for your welcome feedback! I'm still hoping the day will come soon when you introduce me to your parents.
oh, yeah, and here's my original comment, again:
After you spatulaed the cream it looked very spatular.
Or is the adjective *"spatulous"* or do I mean spectacular?
Sounds legit, even though you wouldn't spatula the cream with spectacles.
Maybe I should ask Ms. Lulu Cheeks (who, as I remember, holds advanced
degrees in each food *and* language studies).
+rubadux That'll work every time! Great idea! I was able to find my old comments in YouTube's "Community" page. The left of the screen has a link called "Comments." They're all still there even though the video associated with them has been deleted!
that's easy for me, as I type and save all my comments or forum posts in "concept" rtf files because sometimes they happen to be eaten by the servers I post them to the moment I hit return, or click the "submit" button - or even some time later.Mission accomplished again : )
rubadux, thanks for going through all the trouble of finding and reposting your original comment! Here was my reply to that:rubadux, LOL, I had been trying to think of the past tense of spatula, but couldn't. You nailed it though! LOL! And, come to think of it, I did spatula some of the cream onto my spectacles! That Lulu is quite the English authority. I should've thought to ask her about our usage problem! Thanks a million for your hilarious commentary! It's much appreciated!
elrorrito, LOL! No, no! Don't do that! YouTube will think I'm gaming the view count! LOL! I appreciate the gesture though!

+Nasya Carter Hey Nasya! I ordered mine on lowcarbgrocery.com (for Canada) - If you live elsewhere, you will need to google further.Sorry about that. Thanks for watching though
Thanks so much for the reply! Do you know how many calories should be the
max to lose? I know the carbs need to be below 20 net (and macros 65% fat,
25% protein, 10% carbs) but am wondering if there is a caloric guideline as
well. Thanks again! :)
+Brea Washington Hey Brea! Well like any diet - the lowest you should be eating is 1200 calories/day - If you're working out, then increase that. I use myfitnesspal and I use the percentages: 70% Fat, 25% Protein, and 5% Carbs - Of course those can very depending on how quick you want to try and get into ketosis - the quicker the better when starting off to try and possibly offset the effects of 'keto flu'.Hope that helped!
+Brea Washington Hey Brea! Thanks for the support! I'm eating to slowly lose since I can only restrict calories so much and am also working on during to try and maintain some kind of strength/muscle (even if I don't have much!)Thanks for watching!
+StrongerThan I'veEverBeen Hey there! Here's the recipe I made/used for the casserole: //www.ibreatheimhungry.com/2013/12/cheesy-chili-spaghetti-squash-casserole-low-carb-gluten-free.htmlEnjoy! And thanks for watching!
+noreen swan Hey Noreen! My daily macro goals are 109g Fat/88g Protein/18g Carbs. Or course that may change depending on if I work out that day or not, etc.Hope that helps!
+Annick Doudou Hey Annick - I've mostly seen the Sugar Free ones at Walmart - though I've been seeing them more and more at other places lately. Hit or miss sadly :(
+Dee~Bee This company has great low-carb stuff. I have no idea how much they would charge to ship to Australia but they do ship overseas. //www2.netrition.com/cgi/product_categories_display.cgi#{VUwwRElWMQ==|page=1}
+Dee~jewel Hey there! It's actually so hard to find low carb bread in stores here in Canada..unless you live in Toronto or Vancouver, since it's still considered a 'specialty' product. Everything good I have to buy online :( I wish I lived in Australia! Thanks for watching!
Protein Cheesecake (High Protein, Low Carb, Low Fat)
+Tankst3rTube Whats up homie! I think you could but you might need a type of flour in replacement of the whey. Recipe calls for 60g of whey. You can try adding 20g of coconut flour so the cheesecake isnt too wet, or just 30g of pancake mix. Shoot me a text. You going to the O in vegas?
Low Carb "No Bake" Cheesecake (IF*)
This is my first video in 2007, and I return to the kitchen in making my favorite new dessert, a low carb non-bake cheesecake. This cheesecake is better than any ...
Can I use cinnamon/Splenda pork rind crust? It sounds weird doesn't it? I
got the idea from low carb site that said to put Spam non-stick butter
flavor spray on pork rinds witch in turn will allow the cinnamon combined
with sugar stick onto the pork rinds, therefore, making them taste like
Taco Bell's cinnamon/sugar churros. I would take it a step further & grind
up this concoction & put it as crust for your recipe (butter pan on sides
so crumbs can stick to them)..no baking for crust necessary!
This recipe is amazing!! I ditch the crust and whipped topping and eat it
with a spoon. The flavor is amazing. I tried looking for this in your
playlist but could not find it. I had to call a friend and she confirmed
that it was your recipe and then sent me a link since she had saved this in
her favorites. I am so glad I was able to find the video. I could not
remember all the ingredients. To anyone wanting to make a cheesecake out
there~ Look no further!! This is the best one out there!!
Great recipe! I would love to ask you some questions, I have been on low
carb for about 4 days now, I have cut out everything except an occasional
piece of fruit, I know on atkins, thisisn't allowed but for someone who
wants to continue to eat fruit, do you think that I will have any success
doing this? I was really addicted to carbs, that is basically all that my
diet consisted of before now. do you think that I can have weight loss
success by doing it this way? Please help.
Myself personally, I would cut it out for the 14 days of Induction, and if
fruit was the first thing you wanted to add back in you have a great time
to evaluate *definitely* how much you can have as you add 5g of it
additionally per day. That's my best recommendation for sure fire success
and is totally in line with Atkins. Not everyone wants to do Atkins.. In
that case I would still get 10-20 net carbs in veggies and track how much
additional in fruit you are eating.
The whole Calories In Calories Out argument has fallen short in so many
studies and has so many holes that swiss cheese might hold more water. What
you eat matters as much how Calories are in there. Low carbers eating the
same # of Calories as High Carbers lost more weight, more FAT, and less
muscle. The point of any successful is diet is to teach you how to eat
healthy. Good advice "eat a apple" - why don't you eat just apples? The
body needs more than just apples.
I lost 50 ponds on the low carb diet AKA Atkins Diet. That was over five
years ago now. I gained back a total of 8 pounds. I am trying to lose that
now. I am watching Carbs again. I totally dropped sugared soda when I was
on the diet last time. I have not drunk regular soda again. I have kept the
pounds off by watching what I eat. Sugar is my down fall now. I started
using Splenda, because it taste good. I will try this cheese cake this
weekend it sounds good.
I know this video is a little old school, but I just made this recipe for
the first time and its AWESOME! Just a few questions; first is the crust
safe for owl, second I used torani sf vanilla syrup (all I could find) and
was really good; any difference from the davinci's and lastly is this
recipe rated at 2g net carbs per slice with crust or without? Thanks again,
your the man! oh yeah by the way, added cinnamon to the crust, perfect
match! LOL
I typically use the Low Fat Cream Cheese, which has one-third the fat of
normal cream cheese. I would also eliminate the pie crust which due to the
butter and to some extent the almond flour adds a significant amount to the
fat content. I would serve the cheesecake as perhaps a parfait rather than
as a cake then too. You might try less whipping cream than the full cup.
With those subtractions, it might be as low as 5g of Fat per server.
Okay, one quick question... WHAT THE HELL!? I understand the whole
carb-thing, but what about the calories!? Do those not matter? I thought
the whole point of a diet (using the term loosely) was to cut back on what
you eat. Not eat chicken (fried) and cheesecake! Even if it is low-carb,
wouldn't it be easier to just eat an apple? So much healthier, you don't
have to worry about "Saving up" your carbs or whatever....Just my oppinion.
If you aren't losing or losing fast enough, cut back the fruit carbs to
every other day. Could you lose successfully with 10-20g of fruit every
day? Probably... Unless you happen to be metabolically resistant. Low carb
is really diet of personal taste and a bit of experiment to see what your
CCLL (Critical Carbohydrate Level for Losing) is. How much fruit are you
eating per day?
@chartii The 2g is just for the crust. The nutrition facts for the filling
is: Per Serving: 368 Calories; 37g Fat; 7g Protein; 4g Carbohydrate; 1g
Dietary Fiber; 3g Net Carbs Yes, the crust is fine for OWL. The only
difference between the Davinci and Torani is the taste. Both are acceptable
for Induction. I am glad you liked the recipe, and the cinnamon is a good
tip. Kent
I've always been against making anything that seems like a desert or treat
with the Atkin's diet. It's a novel idea, but I don't think it sets a good
example. I think eating things like this maybe on weekends could be a nice
thing for relaxing. Otherwise, it's not good for the psychology and doesn't
help prime the person for future success and staying away from junk.
