Becoming Vegan is a short documentary about the lifestyles of vegans. It follows Rachael Lowes' experiment of following a vegan diet for two weeks, offering ...
why didn't she contact the vegan society for an information pack. watch
cruelty videos. I think she had a bit of a defeatest attitude and wasn't
eating enough.
+Trevor O'Donnell I think she tried without really educating herself.....but that's most people about veganism... "I like meat too much" or "I just can't do tofu". This reminds me of those comments. The more I learn, the more you realize most Vegans don't buy that "vegan" stuff in the grocery. You have to actually cook and eat...eat a lot. Just keep eating. When I don't plan my meals or eat the same stuff for too long, yeah I feel lethargic, because I'm not eating a balanced diet. Vegan can be spaghetti and PB&J's. You gotta be informed and smart about being healthy. Vegan does not always mean healthy. Many vegans are healthy because they are well educated. 2 weeks...she was probably still detoxing from all the bad stuff...no joke.....But yeah...like you said, defeatest...she was like.."I'll try it...oh shucks, didn't give me energy like I was promised. Guess it's not for me..."
+Trevor O'Donnell or eating anything good, i didn't get the whole "it's taking it's toll on me after 1 week" stuff. i don't know anyone who hasn't seen an increase in energy from dropping dairy.
+Olivia Bohannon It's fine if you are strong willed, I did the same and experienced an intense breakout in my skin which lasted almost 6 months. Because I was committed to veganism I just had to wait it out since there was no way I was going back, but I definitely wouldn't recommend other people doing the same haha (if anyone is reading this has experienced the same thing YOUR SKIN WILL HEAL). But I think we can all agree that this girl knows nothing and this documentary is a joke.
I used to eat like shit. Biscuits, eggs and bacon all day everyday. The logic of veganism hit me over about three days and I went vegan literally over night on that third day. If you're clever, or you're not weak willed, going cold turkey is fine IMO. ☺️I totally agree that this girl is a weak moron though. This 'documentary' is pathetic.
Most pastas are already vegan.....you don't have to be gluten free to be
vegan. I haven't watched the whole thing yet, so I hope she realizes this
soon. I am only a few minutes in.
oh my god just bring rice and veggies in a tupperware to work. Or a salad! Or a vegan sandwich! Or some pasta! you don't have to have a meat sandwich for lunch and you certainly don't have to rely on "snack foods"
The meals aren't as filling because you need to eat more! You need to eat more when eating mostly plants because they are lower calorie than meat! You went into this with nearly no education. you don't need to "find products" to eat, eat real whole foods! How can you not believe in vegan ethics? God I am only 10 minutes in and this is making me mad.

Kate Bush talks Vegetarianism - Delia Smith - BBC
Chef Delia Smith runs through vegetarian options to destroy the myth that meat is needed in every meal. This clip, also featuring Kate Bush, is taken from the ...
Kate Bush ruined herself with vegetarianism. She flooded her body with
carbohydrates. Her body responded with massive amounts of insulin. Her
amazingly beautiful body and mind were able to process the excess of
glucose entering her cells, for a long time. But she eventually developed
Insulin sensitivity, despite the endless exercise. Then she developed
Leptin sensitivity. And got as fat as a whale. It pains me to say this.
I've been in love with Kate since we were both 18. But facts are facts.
+Chris Shaskin Chris, you've got it all wrong. A diet rich in complex carbohydrates is the only one that preserves the integrity of insulin function. If Kate continued to consume dairy, or sugar, or salt, or oils, then any of these can lead to weight gain. You can't, however, indict veganism per se. Read the history of Britain's affair with meat - the prevalence of stroke, heart disease and gout as well as obesity, in the 18th century, for example, when vegetables were more or less ignored.
OpenDoor - The Vegan Society 1976 - Full 30 minute video
In the 1970s the BBC did a series of programmes called "Open Door" where the BBC gave campaign groups an opportunity to make a half hour programme ...
+PLANT BASED NEWS I gave a DVD of the programme to Brian in 2012 with the suggestion that he used it at a meeting that was due to happen some months later, but I was vastly more pleased when l learned that he had also put it on the Internet(I did not have the facilities to do so myself at that time). I was active in Kathleen Janaways Movement for Compassionate Living in the early 1990s and had kept a VHS tape of the programme at my home since 1992 - Kathleen Janaway gave me the tape then because I was one of very few people at that time that had 2 VCRs. I might say, quite immodestly, that without my involvement the programme could have been lost forever. Had the tape stayed with Kathleen whoever dealt with her belongings after she died may have thrown it away thinking it was of no value or may have just put it on a shelf and done nothing else with it.
