@jackpizzo1 Yes. Should it go offroad? No. Why do I say this you ask....
Well Yamaha produces 3 versions of the wr250. The wr250f is the motocross
version of the bike no bells, whisltes, or ball ticklers, not licensed and
cannot be ridden on the road...the wr250x is the bike I ride in my video's.
It obviously has a speedo, electric start, mirrors, signals, licensed, and
a bunch of other shit. The wr250R is the same as my bike, but comes with
dirt tires, larger offroad rims, smaller front disc
@Infrastructure Cool, it sounds nice, but I just got a Yoshimura RS-2 for
mine and it sounds good too. It was my first bike and I think I got the
Supermoto bug. lol, You should check our new site at extremesmx or
supermotojunkie is good too. Cheers!
@wow4l1feb1tch Sorry for taking soo long to respond, I did not realize you
had posted a comment asking a question. It is a full Delta Barrel 4 exhaust
that can be purchased at wheelingcyclesupplyDOTcom
I was referred to your channel by one of your riding buddies named dan, he
told me that you might want to sell you wr250x? If so, let me know. I'm in
Arizona as well, Phoenix more specifically.

Are You Too Short To Ride Supermoto?
Join Us On Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/revZoot Are you too short to ride supermoto? I see many riders wonder if they're too short, and they're not.
Ok dude , I am 5' 8'' tall and 10 stone 6 . I have an Aprilia sxv 550.
and I find it hard to be in total control at a standstill.so how your
friend copes at gnome size ,I would love to know , maybe 5'4'' and 15 stone
fair play . but get real . these bikes are tall.
+revZoot Being 6'3" is helpful. I can flat foot my CRF450XSM, and when she's wearing enduro wheels too, but I only really have an inch of clearance between the boys and the 2X4 that I have to call a seat.
+Phil Noel My buddy has an SXV450 and is still shorter than that, and he doesn't have a problem. I think one of the big mental barriers to get over is that both of your feet don't need to be on the ground in order to be able to ride. If you're expecting to be able to plant both feet, not happening. He's 5'2", I believe.I'm almost the exact same height as you, and I can't get both feet down on my WR450. It takes some getting used to, but it's not a problem.
are you people who are 5'6-5'9 really complaining about being short?! and
not knowing if you can ride a bigger bike? I watched this because I'm 5'3
that's all the bigger I'm gonna get on a good day I weigh 135 lbs and I
want to know if I can race a KX 250 and also I want to know if I can get a
KLX250S.
+Adam Leiphart You would be totally fine on either. Nate the Gnome is about the same height as you, and he did just fine on the WR450. If you like the bike, give yourself a couple months to get used to the height before trying lowering it.
+Adventures in Real Life I've...honestly never had that problem. If you're too tall, generally you can find other bikes that will fit you better. There's also other options for softer/taller seats that will place you a couple inches higher.
+revZoot you have to pay for the classes i think you mean the lessons right ? haha not the best english reader/writer for example if you go for car here you get around 40 lessons untill you can go for the exam and bike is little bid less lessons :). Hope you understand my writing haha i'm trying my best
uhm if you start at 18 you may have to pay 2100 and for the other ones i think maybe around 300 euros more for more advanced lessons.i'm still 17 years old so it will take a very long time for me sadly haha untill then i drive scooter Yamaha Aerox R Naked hehe
+revZoot in holland you have 3 different license at 18 you only have 125 cc and if u wait till 20 years old you can get mid cc i think around 550 cc and last one full cc it sucks a little but its worth the wait haha .. gonna start when i'm 20 years old and buy my self maybe yamaha wr or ktm
+weskee10 You're 5'2." You're about the same height as Nate, you should be just fine :)

Ninja 250 vs WR250R
So if you have ever asked the question "Is a Ninja 250 faster than a 250 dirt bike?" then this video might help you a bit, or not... The skinny: The 250 ninja is just a ...
+Friedel P.under the side skirt right hand side of the bike, something else you can do is take off the seat and disconnect the vacume actuator and pin open the air valve, its just there for noise reduction and causes a restriction!
Have you corrected your speedo, though? The stock speedo is at least 5-6mph above what you're actually doing. I think he's got the 12 o'clock labs speedo corrector on his bike.
Sounds like your speedo is reading exceptionally high. Is it on stock sprockets? Isn't that much extra power harsh on your frame & transmission? I can't remember which gen KLX250S has the easy to shatter shift star and frame warp.
#45 subscribed! I been looking at the WR250R as my first dual
sport/adventure bike. I used to live in Boston 20 years ago but never rode
around there.
+Pete Sure you can walk next to it but you'd be feathering the clutch. I'm not the first person to change gearing on this bike, in fact it's the first thing most people do. When the bike came out in '08 the first mod people jumped right to was a bigger rear sprocket (lots of 46 and 47 tooths). Congrats for hitting 93 on dirt tires, but I think our riding styles are somewhat different.
is the gearing for off-road really that bad??? you need to feather the
clutch anyway on dirt so exact gearing is not necessary.
Planning to get that bike soon.
+Pete It's not really a problem it's more just preference. For example my KDX200 feels about the same as this now. I like to be able to ride at very low speeds without having to feather the clutch like you would in stock gearing.
+Enduro Riders I think the gearing was definitely biased towards road riding. For a dual sport that might be what some people want, but it just didn't cut it off road, especially in any thick stuff.
+kparks24 Do you mean fender? It's the DRC Edge fender eliminator with the Yoshimura bracket for the stock turn signals. Kind of a bizarre solution but I'm happy with the results.
+MR. MOTO505 Thanks bud. I changed the oil at 30 and 600 miles. I'll change it to a synthetic blend before the start of next season (probably around 1500 miles).
WR250X vs. DRZ400SM Supermoto Drag Race
2008 Yamaha WR250X VS. 2005 Suzuki DRZ400SM Drag Race. The black bike is the DRZ, blue is the WR.
You can hear that the DRZ is modified (at least a pipe, likely the 3x3 mod)
and you can hear that the WR is stock. So it's pretty impressive for the
little bike considering the size difference
+Marc-Antoine Lévesque stunt riders often use larger rear sprockets for better acceleration, the same effect will happen when you put on a smaller front sprocket...according to the law of lever with a smaller front sprocket it is easier for the engine to pass the power to the rear sprocket...if you have a mountain bike go check for the front and rear sprockets and how they behave when you shift up and down...greats from germany...hope that will help you =D
+Quinn Campbell But dont tell me its something thats easy to understand. I mean, both gears are gears, why would they react any diffrent from each other. But they dont right? they react in proportion of each other.
From another post...Adding a tooth to the front does the opposite that adding a tooth to the back does.Larger sprocket at the front would decrease acceleration and increase top speed.Smaller sprocket at the front would increase acceleration and decrease top speed.Larger sprocket at the back would increase acceleration and decrease top speed.Smaller sprocket at the back would decrease acceleration and increase top speed.Take the front sprocket and divide it into the rear and that will give you the "gear" ratio. 35 / 10 = 3.5 The front sprocket turns 3.5 times every time the back turns once. Change the back sprocket to 40 and you get 4 to 1. For more acceleration you need a higher number. For more top speed lower.
