IF U ARE ASING FOR STRUMMING PATTERNS YOU WILL NEVER EVER PLAY THE GUITAR.
STRUMMING PATTERNS ARE NOT A THING. MUSICIANS SHARE TABS FOR SPECIFIC
NOTES IN A MELODY OR SOLO NO ONE HAS EVER ASKED WHAT IS THE STRUMMING
PATTERN EVER. U CAN HEAR WHAT WORDS OF THE SONG COME ON WHAT CHORD AND U
CHANGE. U DONT WRITE OUT AND EXCHANGE RYTHUMS THATS NOT WHAT MUSIC IS. U
MAKE AN APPROXIMATION BY USING YOUR EAR. EVERYONE WHO ASKED FOR A STRUMMING
PATTERN SHOULD THROW THEIR GUITAR OUT. ALSO I AM AVAILABLE TO GIVE LESSONS
:) U NEED YOUR OWN EAR NOT EXACTLY HOW SOMEONE ELSE STRUMS IT. TRUTH IS
THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE THE TUNES DONT STRUM IT THE SAME WAY EVERYTIME. COME ON
POEPLE...
+Evan Pudil Man that was really aggressive seeming and totally douchey. Some people learn and do things differently than you do so I, personally think you should kinda fuck off. Absolutely no way should anyone throw away their guitar for that reason, that's absolutely ridiculous. It's about having fun and making music, not being the best. Keep your shit to yourself, man. :)
A lot of ppl complaining about the strumming pattern if u can't get the
strumming pattern by listing to the song you really should find another
instrument to learn to play ... Try the tuba or something
+Brianna Comer who was that directed to? Anyway i still think tuba might be a little bit more difficult, then again im a section leader and im in a heavy metal band and lead guitarist.
you should really consider not being an ass because everyone learns differently. some people do better by ear and others need to know the strumming pattern. grow up.
+joshua sanchez You should really not be a twat about something that not everyone is the best at and that some need to learn. Regardless they shouldn't find another instrument to play. If someone wants to play the guitar then they should go ahead and do it.
If ur complaining about this video tutorial, u have no patience in learning
how to play guitar, which requires a lot of it. Everyone starts of sucking
but thats the funnest part is slowly graduating
I think your absolutely right about that :) This song was actually the reason why i bought a guitar ^^ now i'm stuck on the intro tune for a very long time =( It's really hard, plus i haven't done any basic guitar lessons ahum^^ Still i own a Martin DX1 :)
I am a beginner/intermediate & someone who watches a lot guitar
videos attempting to learn. With one other exception, you produce/provide
the best, most user friendly guitar videos to learn how to play songs.
Thank you! Your talent & teaching skills are truly appreciated & I hope you
will continue.
+CR MacNab Thanks so much, I do my best with it. I plan to keep it going but since I do these lessons mostly for free I have to prioritize my work load and don't get to get out as many lessons as I would like to.

Conversations".Tht would be of great help. Thanks anywayz!!!!
How to Play What Hurts the Most Rascal Flatts Cascada Guitar Lesson Chords
My way to play this great song.....for Kelsey Lynn. A basic knowledge of guitar chords D Em G C is all that's required here and a capo. If you don't know those ...
@Zowek You sure are a man with very poor taste. She's fine the way she is.
Actually, she is VERY pretty the way she is. That's just mean, commenting
on peoples weight like that, you know that? Seriously...did your parents
teach you respect or did they forget that part of your education? To Kappa
: thanks a lot for the video, and don't listen to douchebags like zowek,
you are beautifull the way you are.
I would just like to say, that you are ahhhmazing at teaching this, i dont
really know how to play the guitar, and ive only been watching this video
for about 5 minutes and ive already got the begining part down! Thanks so
much for posting this. SUGGESTION could you put the song 'together' by
michelle branch and show how to play it on here????? thats my favorite
song! Thanks!(:
I'm not sure how to word what I want to say, but basically I like how you
clearly know the names of all of the strings, fret notes, and chords...but
you choose to make the lesson as accessible as possible by not introducing
each new note or chord by their proper name at first...but then using their
proper name. It's like two lessons in one...lol I hope that made sense...
congratulations very nice voice, even when you feel cold.i play guitar for
15 years ago, doesn´t matter how many years more im going to play, i never
play guitar with the felling that you use in this video, its amazing, i
really like it. thanks for sare the video , i think you got the x
factor, jajaja. take care and dont lose that feeling,
Hi, I want to learn this so that I can play this song for my boyfriend,
it's one of his faves! I'm kinda scared and excited at the same time(scared
that it will be too hard). I don't know how to play the guitar at all, but
I will try to learn this still. Thank you for this video, I will be coming
back to practice everyday.:)
Just to throw it out there...I'm still working on this, haha. I'm so
grateful that you made this, it's a really great tutorial and you explained
it really well. It's just that I'm still working on the speed of the intro.
Just a little update :)
Excellent lesson! I am trying to teach myself from You tube vids and this
is a really great video. Not surprising your kids are playing so well too!
Hope you will do some more when you have the time! Thanks very much! :)
I have made a strumming instruction video...not for this song in
particular....but showing how I strum in general....if you want to look it
up it's buried in my videos somewhere...called How I Strum :))) Kappa
Brilliant, so happy with this lesson you have such a good voice and the
most sensitive style of teaching that I have come across. I would love to
hear you sing "Out of my hands" by Milow
Why is there a dislike button here? it's such a pretty song sang sublimely
by an incredibly attractive woman...there is nothing to dislike about this
tutorial, thank you very much.
wat strings did you strum between Eminor7 and the alternate D? it looked
like after you cross picked Eminor7 u strum the A and D strings , then go
to the alternate D. is tht right?
@eltaco4046 ha...this is funny...:) I'm really not that skinny...not waif
skinny or anything AND I eat...a lot ;)) ....you're sweet though...thank
you very much. ;)
Hey, a guitar teacher too? Welcome to the club! Good lesson. My son sang a
Rascal Flatts song in school last year and I played guitar for him, it was
lots of fun.

Struming is like someone already said - D D U D. it is in one measure. But
important is that, HOW he counts four beats. He say loud only when you have
to strum. Imagine like someone is all the time counting beats 1,2,3,4
1,2,3,4.... and so on. Here you have to strum on 1 D , on 2 D, on and U, on
3 D. (and is between beats, like a halfbeat) TIP - when measure comes
around, strum U on and before 1. it is because you doesnt begin with
halfbeat before measure. P.S. D - down, U - up
I'm not done learning from this yet. But I learned the first part (intro
and 1st verse) I'm gonna watch more tomorrow! but anyway... DUDE! Thanks a
BUNCH! I love this song. love the band's music and love country! Thanks for
uploading this. I'm just watching it tonight and I'm already learning from
it :D. This is definetly a 5* from me and I'm gonna make this vid a
favorite :D Thanks again for uploading! :D
I freaken LOVE this song sooo much it's a GREAT song and has really good
meaning to it also I LOVE that you put all these video's up I've been
following you since the beginning and I didn't know you had this video up
you have soo many but I'm glade that I found it keep doen ya thang LOVED
IT!!!
every vid i watch on this not a single one tells your the strumming
pattern. i mean in this one it tells you in a way that beginners wouldnt
understand they should come right out and say it besides letting them play
around with the chords and guessing the pattern
great explanation but the strumming still makes me wonder^^. If I gotta
play in the split measures half a measure C and half a measure D I need a
1234 strumming..^^...how cann i play it with the 1 2 & 3 & 1 2 & 3
strumming?..thank you very much.
@lizzcharmed i'm trying to learn it right now and i find it helpful to just
rewind or fast forward the song to where you don't understand and try to do
it over..and also come back to this video to watch :)
my friend moved from new york and is sad she had to leave home. she loves
this song it reminds her of home and i really want to play my guitar and
sing it for her :D im not that great at guitar though :(
Hi! Great video! I was wondering if you could tell me a bit more about the
strumming patteren and when to change to the next cord? I dont really
understand. Any help would be great! Thanks!
OK it's killing me! There are all the Cd's and Gold records on the wall..I
just gotta know who you are that you would have those! LOL..Thanks for
teaching us regardless!
you are awesome this is the best tutorial i`ve found thnx for sharing i
really apreciated it i`ll try it i wish i could play it just like you, you
are really good man.
OMG. my bro finally got me my guitar and i learned chords a-g and now im
just searching vids like this. but your the best teacher ever! u explain it
so well!! THANK U!
Here's my opinion on strumming....I never think down up up down or
whatever.....I never think about what I'm doing....I don't think you should
either...the best way to strum an acoustic guitar is to listen to the
original song and then try to replicate. But...here's the key.... the beat.
Strum like you'd play the drums....I'm kinda playing a bum space bum space
bum diddy thing....because that was the beat I heard in the song. Humm the
beat then pick the guitar up and make it sound the same...:)
And before you go saying that was useless cause I didn't give you a down up
down up pattern..:))) Play the Rascal Flatts song and sit at a table or
something and pretend your playing bongos...catch the beat in the song,
remember it, then pick the guitar up and keep a real loose hand and match
that pattern you played on the table with strokes on the guitar....then
you'll have something your own....and it won't sound totally amatuer like
some canned down up thing...;)))
By that I mean using a pick to pluck the strings using a down on one string
motion, up on the next ....so as you pick the strings...in whatever order
you play always down stroke then up stroke....it's. The most efficient way
to pick that way...if you're just willy nilly on the strokes you'll get
caught as you try to play faster. Up, down....:)@bmxjeffdood
Hello, I want to thank you for your videos, I love this song and i am
starting to play it already, what i would love to see is how the strumming
is, how to strum because i can't get it to sound like your, my name is
mario and i would really appreciate it. thanks.
@GodfatherSquirrel Check out Kappa's video About Capo strumming and Turn
the page.. Use that internal rhythm to figure out the pattern.. tap it
out.. feel it while doing the chord progression.. then just use your
feelings that you tap applied to your strum..
i really like that way u playing. i think u r awesome. i just started
playing guitar....and 6:27-6:34 really gets me in trouble :))... i tried it
but it didnt sound right i dont know what i miss..can u show me how to that
picking???
I love this song... really cool way to play it...you really make it
yours...thanks for the tips...its time to put it on practice...it was a fun
way of learning...nice voice and harmony =)
Kind of....I play rhythm guitar while my daughter and my good friend play a
mean dueling mandolins....does that count? I'm trying to talk my twin sis
into playing it with me too... Kappa
Jezz, even me as a woman, admire her. Her guitar skills, her voice and her
georgeus eyes. No worries am hetero LOL. But you are so damn good. and love
that u choose this song.
@marianita3004 LOL I know what you mean.. Makes me forget I am trying to
learn the song.. I get lost listening to her instead of trying to learn how
to play the song!
Thanks for taking the time. I appreciate the lesson, love your demeanor,
you seem really sweet and you're really talented as well. Glad I stumbled
across your stuff.
You remind me of Audrey Raines a fiction character in 24 tv shows, but
anyway just wanted to say you look awesome and your voice is smooth ...
great keep it on ! :)
