+Jonah Ondieki loose that thing you Tenayi - (Tenayi is advised to lose weight and song then list what she should loose and that is )-fish and chipsmala le mogodu- meat and tripepaleshe- porridgemagwenya and magwala- a particular south african deep friend pastry and …archer and chakalaka- pickled mango in oil and a particular south african sauceboerewors- south african sausageba ka seke ba ku guna amalungelo kengabe e se tshonile - not sure what the song mean here- someone who is xhosa should be able to assist. but it refers to some rightsbe nga mona ntana baba be a hlule e ko hamba- as if i would see my father's child failing to walkbe nga mona ntana baba be a hluke e ko phagama- as if i would see my father's child failing to stand up helele Tenayi x choruswhat follows is the south version of the song-Thiba- hold off!e kare ka mona ngwana (child) wa (of) motho (person) montsho (black) - as if i see a child of a black person / African child (the orator/ praiser is at this point praising Tenayi- taking pride in her black identity) ya tshwanang le lehlala ye motshohadi------- who looks like lehlala (not sure what lehlala means exactly but I deduce that it means someone with a round / straight body figure as opposed to the preferred body with curves ) who is black ( motshohadi - black which is feminine) empa a ale motle mona sefahlehong, ------ but she looks beautiful on her faceele somomothiya------ she is pretty ( a woman who is beautiful is referred as semomothiya/ or semomothela - meaning pretty)ye ke a monna wa thella o tshwana le ice yeo re ba e bit sang ka sekgoa----- Her face is pretty and smooth like 'ice' as it is called in English.nkabe a tshwana le state wa have nkebe ele letahoa- ---- if she had the same resemblance as her father she would have been an alcoholicjwale o tshwana le mma have o motle-------- but she takes after her mother ; she is pretty!ele!ke ngwana o moth o motsho- she black person/ child of a black person / African - ( in terns of skin tone and identity - culture)o ka ba bontsha gore re name re etsang ndengese- show them how these things are done!etsa di ntho tea gago- do your thing/ show them what you are made ofkiva hoe ngwana wa moth o motsho----- dance please an african childtsamaya sefateng- --- go to the street (omission but this is what is implied- go to the street and dance and show them who you are)ba mona ba nne le mona---- so that those who are jealous will be jealousma …a utlwa - this is an expression in this context …. meaning listen basically the scene of this song is that it is a xhosa wedding- the dress code is xhosa. Tenayi is getting married. The first part of the song is in Xhosa. Tenayi's has haters who instead of celebrating her wedding they complain about her weight and list all the food that she has been eating that made her to gain weight and complain that she main not be able to walk or stand up from surface. the sotho part of the song, is of someone (the orator/praiser ) who is on Tenayi's side and is counteracting the negative claims. he is referring to Tenayi as an African beauty; he concede that Tenayi's body is round/ straight however she is pretty and a black beauty and makes a statement of her having inherited her beauty from her mother and had she looked like her dad ---she would have been eer.. uglythe praiser then tells Tenayi to counteract the claims by showing her worth and what she is made off. he encourages her to dance off her haters and in fact go to the street to celebrate her wedding in so doing her haters could only be more jealous but she instead will be celebrating and having fun.traditionally- it was part of the culture to extend the wedding dance celebration to the streets and show what you are worth and if you have haters well they could get choked up by their jealousy. In weddings, the bride normally had a praiser who will praise her worth as part of the celebration.
