VEDFAM: Day 27: Souper Sunday: Italian Wedding Soup
One of our favorite soups is Italian Wedding Soup. This is a recipe that Jonny and I created several years ago. It's a DEFINITE favorite in the wintertime! Italian ...
This looks really easy and good. U had me for a sec when you put the
spinach in there. I love spinach in salad and on my sub.lol But it does
look really good in this too. Good Eats...
This is also referred to as "frog eye salad". The acini di pepe pasta is why, it is shaped like a small round ball. This is my favorite cold fruit salad. It is even better ...
This is awesome because I have been looking for a very similar salad that
the aunts used to make upstate CT when I lived there(picnics) after they
passed I could never get any of the family members to bring the recipe
up.Theirs had jello in it though without the pasta. But this is so close. I
am living down here in Weatherford, TX now and I am going to borrow your
recipe and make it for my dad (whom is very old now; the reason I am here
to take care of the old gieser) I am sure he will "like".
Second try. Saw your brother Derek was ill and had seen y'all painting his
family kitchen. He collects coke bottles so I brought one back that says
bottled in the UK. I thought he might like it. It's empty cause you cat
bring back fizzy drinks unless you want brown clothes. GAH helped me be not
so homesick. Thank you. If Der wants the bottle just let me know. It's
already traveled thousands of miles...needs just a few more to get it to
him.
I suggest to cool down the pudding mixture, drain the fruits well enough
that almost all of the liquid is gone and add more cool whip. This will
definitely leave your dish more fluffy and not watery. I also suggest to
fold in the cool whip with the pudding first before adding the pasta and
all the ingredients. TRUST ME will make a difference!!!
I don't think I have ever seen that kind of pasta? Interesting...It's not
the pasta that would bother me...but the cool whip...yucky...don't like
cool whip or whipped cream
I love this salad. A woman where I used to work would make it for potlucks.
She called it frog-eyed salad. I lost the recipe so glad you posted this.:-)
Acini de Pepe is a small pasta found in any supermarket. Saute it with artichokes, baby spinach, butter, oil and chicken stock then garnish with parmesan cheese ...
