OK, today I'm going to combine this soup with the Tuscan soup so it will
have a cream base! I'll let you know how it goes! Also, we purchased four
whole turkeys for $0.59/lb! When we processed them, we saved the legs &
wings to smoke (yum), ground or cubed the breast & thighs and saved the
carcus & neck for stock. With this said, we are going to use ground turkey!
We also got some collard greens on sale that are AWESOME to chop thinly and
put in soups!!! Well, gotta get cookin'!
Love your videos. Have you considered writing a cookbook? I cannot believe
that any cookbook publisher would not jump right on that. It would be great
to decide on your recipe and then watch your video. I love watching the
videos but would like the specific amounts. This was a great soup when I
made it. But I would have like to have the recipe instead of winging it.
Linda, you always do a superb job! :-) That soup looks perfect for a chilly
day . . . I will have to check out Wildtree's spice mixes next. (I think I
make a pretty good spaghetti sauce, but it would be interesting to try out
their Italian spice mix anyway). I'll like, save, and favorite this video!
All best, and thumbs up as always, Jersey Joe :-)
Oh that looks so good. I have tortellini in the freezer, squash, etc. and
need a few other ingrediants. I like putting some baby spinach in the bowls
when I ladel on top. May just be something I need as I am getting over the
flu and pleurisy right now. I have no energy at all.
I had to take a moment to give you the biggest online "THANK YOU" that
could be given! There hasn't been one thing you've done that I haven't been
inspired by, learned from or even me an idea to spin off of something
you've done. Have a beautifully blessed day!
brilliant! you have any recipes for sauces that go well with lean game
meats? was going to grill some thing today for the show, but I just cant
decide what kinda sauce to go with. thinking sweet but tangy.... thanks
linda! your da best!
darn youtube, If I don't take my Vit D every day I get depressed. I don't
absorb it like I used to and I'm not able to get out in the sun much
because of work. Awesome video I need to make some of that soup!!! I can
smell it from here.
Vitamin D is available Via sun and pill form at cvs also I drink 2 ovalines
malts a day and a multivitamin a day and all is balanced, have to save from
others but it makes up the vit d issues.
I like the way you cook! Everything you make has zest to it. I have never
thought of adding marjoram to poultry soup but it sounds wonderful. Ditto
the diced bell pepper, what a great way to add an extra colour to the dish.
I always grind lots of pepper into my soup. Hey I'm traveling to the lower
48 next week for two weeks in California and a few days in Las Vegas. It
will be a nice change from the terrible weather we're having here on the
coast lately! Thanks & have a great weekend Darlene!
@DownHomeCooking LOL thanks. We're not the rowdy carousing sin city
gambling types, we are pretty boring actually. We have never been to Las
Vegas though and we are going to spend a few days there just exploring the
attractions and watching people. I especially want to see the car
collection at the Imperial Palace hotel. No worries we won't lose any
money, just wear out a pair of shoes most likely.
@Riccy102 L.O.L. It's not me who's going to Vegas. Bagelbo66 and his family
are going. Maybe he will share with us. I am so happy you feel like you are
among family. I want everyone to feel welcome. I really do enjoy writting
to everyone. I love reading about all your tips and ideas. I feel like I
have lots of friends, You all are great!!!! Darlene
@bagelboi66 Thanks ! When I made the stock I added black pepper and salt,
so i didn't need to add much.I like marjoram. I use it in alot of my
poultry and pork dishes. Wow that is great news about your trip. Have a
good time and don't lose too much in Vegas. Darlene
