If you think that Rand promoted "murder", then, like most critics, you have the diametrically opposite idea of Rand that that which is true. Color me not surprised.

That's the way the book does it.  1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1  I was also confused during the movie until I saw it twice after I read the book.
