What is an Acre? - Ask a Farmer: America's Heartland
Ever wonder just how big an area they're talking about when someone mentions an "acre"? Sheep rancher Dan Macon gives us a little insight on just how much ...
+Lynn Dickson I had to respond, because I watched the same video, saying it was hard to follow was an understatement. If you have anxiety issues, that video won't help. LOL Two minutes in and you want to start throwing something. It was nice of him to try to explain what an acre is, but he needed to go through a rehearsal first.
Nice pond, but hopefully you checked with the EPA before removing or
altering the small pond you had there. When you apply for a permit you can
see what EPA regulations apply to your property and general geographical
area. If there is a natural spring feeding that area or even if you catch
and store rain water there are rules to block you, I don't suggest you
advertise this on the internet. Many people prefer to save the frogs and
minnows instead of having their own life. Best of luck to you.
Hey Chris, what type of cash would something like this require? (I'm
thinking $10,000.00) You don't have to tell me, if you don't want to. Is it
too high or low? ~ Just interested ~~ Thanks for the share again! (hey, the
time lapse idea is a great one, not only for your subs but for future
business. PeaceOut, James
wow nice work love you videos just dug a pond myself up in ny hit a ton of
rocks.............. but the finished product came out nice hopefully it
fills up with water this weekend we are expecting 6-12" of rain with the
hurricane
Thats a lot of work, ought to be nice once its finished though. A friend of
mine did a small one on his property in NY and put a little island in the
middle. it was actually a pretty cool effect. No where near this huge
though!
you and one other fella huh. I sure you just could of said Zach and they
would of known who u mean lol. Im Zach btw fellas but some of u know that
im sure. Alot of logs where cut here let me tell ya.
yeah Ive done a few with island but I try to talk them out of that because
they never maintain it and next thing you know it has tree growing on it
and looks like shit but that just my opinion haha
as long as your damn is under 15' tall you dont have to have one. I think
there is another requirement if your backing up a significant amount of
water IE over 50 acres?
