your from new york where at man im from there myself
Ford Bronco Plow Truck Yard Truck 2 Way Plow
This old beast runs fine. Has a coupla' small rust spots. Heater, wipers, brakes, clutch all work well. I drove it in from the country. Needs a bit a TLC...
@K5LEGEND Hell yeah if there was one around would love to...This vid was
just done in fun as Will (the owner of the s10) Begged me to fire up the
old plow truck and try it. I like Blazers, big and small ones and have
respect for all. Hell been into mudding for years and have had around 10
Blazers and many, many other kinds of trucks...like em all and work on them
all. Just sold a couple k-5's in the last year or so. I see you like
Blazers...they are cool. Best wishes!
Not with that big beastmaster Pug! Too much weight on the F-250, about a
ton in back of scrap and the the 8 foot fisher plow in front. Will actually
came here for that reason at first to try it against our plow truck! We
tried that ford against our old 97 Chev k-1500 too, will be uploading that
in the near future.
The thing about these tug clips ... # 1 If the chain is not level then the
truck with the higher end has an advantage. # 2 A full size vs a compact
(s-10-s-15-ranger-dakota) is just ... well you know. # 3 A full size with a
plow ...... yeah .. see # 2 Cute though.
How can you dis both Chevy and Ford after all of us have been sticking up
for you on YouTube? Everyone was saying you eat shit sandwiches and all of
the Chevy/Ford guys said you didn't like bread! Have a great day and
remember to put some prep_H on them hemis!
Hi Bob, I wish i had my old scrapping truck it was a 1987 dodge 3/4 ton
4x4. She was a very tough truck and fast at that. it had the 360 and the
granny low 4speed. but ended up scrapping it cause the clutch was about
gone in it. good video by the way
@erk409 It was truly a joke...I think...Will (with the S10) came up here
totally hell bent on hooking up with the F250...but you are sure welcome to
stop in and party...give it a try...loser buys the beer! Keep on
rompin...K5's are awesome too!
DEFINELY seems like everything you buy for a ford is 2-3 year only... and
doesn't interchange between any other engine besides what you need it for..
and is usually double the price and twice as hard to find as any Chevy
part...
Are you fucking kidding me thats like hooking up a bicycle to a truck,
there is no way in hell the bike is going to win. why don't you try hooking
that piece of shit ford on to something that will atleast put up a fight
what the hell was that shit of course the ford won it has a plow 2 tanks a
v8 and shit in the bed lol thats like pulling a tank to that blazer... that
didnt prove crap.. chevy is still better
Will just wanted to try it against the plow truck for some reason? It was
fun though. There is another vid we have of the plow truck against a full
size chevy truck...about the same thing...
I work on all of them...if they break down, I make money! I've changed
quite a few heads, gaskets, and jet valves in those Mazdas. Lots of work on
the toyotas too. I like them all!
Holy shit... Seriously? A 5000lb truck with a fkn plow on the front... Vs.
A seemingly stock 4x4 Blazer? Oh yea, be proud. I'm sure you prolly get
your candy from infants. Lol
Wow, that day was so fun! Gotta come back up and do some more stuff! Might
be funny to run my cavy against it!! lol majorly one sided on the fords
end, but it would be funny lol.
It did last time I ran it, a year or two ago. It has the 4.3 in it. Used it
for storage at the time. Has a locking tool cage in the front. Probably
need a battery and some gas.
That can be true at times...used to be foreign was the most expensive,
followed by mopar, blue oval, then chevy being the cheapest to repair...not
always true today though!
It was unfair...we did it for a joke but Will (the owner of the Blazer)
brought his truck over really wanting to hook up for a pull with our plow
truck...twas kinda funny!
Tell me what you think of these vehicles!! I was born on September 5, 1972
(Hence my username ford 95720, And from when a month after I was born to
about July of 1984, We owned a fully loaded 1972 LTD Country Squire wagon
with a 400 Cleveland V8 with I think a 2 barrel Holley carb on it, Man!!!
That was one tough and indestructible car!!! The air conditioning in that
thing could literally transform it into a mobile meat locker!!! We also had
a used 1977 27 foot Ford E-350 RV with a 460 4 barrel.
It could probably use a good tune up as I've had it for a few years and
only have done urgently needed things to it. There are some issues with
some sensors as the check engine light comes on. I'll be going through it
good when I get time. I want to change all the u-joints in the front end
and all the other neglected maintence. It sure does have a lot of power
though. I bought the truck with plow 3 years ago for $1000. It has 105,000
miles on it now. Thanks for the comment. Happy Holidays!
It was just a bit too cold that morning. An idle air control will usually
affect it cold or warm. It always idles perfectly except that morning. It
has many issues. You must have worked on a ford taurus with a 2.5
before...they burn the idle air control moters up quite often because of
the placement in back above the exhaust manifold. You could have a point
though, it could be a bit "lazy" on such cold days. I'll look into it all
when I perform its much needed maintence this summer /fall.
I wonder why Ford didn't offer a fuel injected 351 on the '79-91 LTD Crown
Vic? They just offered it with the Variable-Venturi carb, Do you think you
could explain this to me? Now of course you could always convert from the
Variable-Venturi carb to fuel injection, But Ford for some reason chose not
to offer the 351 with fuel injection in the '79-91 LTD Crown Vic, Just the
302, And I think after '80, The 351 was only made available for police use,
Consumers just got the 302 EFI.
Hell YEAH they had some serious balls!!! We live in Newberg, Oregon which
is about 25 miles outside of Portland, We moved out here from Maryland in
July of '79, And drove the LTD wagon all the way out here, We bought the
E-350 shortly thereafter, We had I think Hooker headers with dual 3 inch
side-by-side pipes installed on that rig, You'd think we were driving a
NASCAR stock car when you heard that thing start up!!!! We could easily do
60 coming up a steep mountain pass!!
Well, Ford are definitely built "Ford Tough". My father has a 94 F-150 with
the 4.9 Liter (300 cu. in.) straight six and ran his low on oil when the
oil pan rusted through and the oil leaked out. He took the truck to the
local repair shop which removed several main and connecting rod bearing
caps. Upon inspecting the bearings, there was no damage. Trust me, it is
very difficult to kill a Ford 300 six or the 351 Windsor!!!
@zoomduder, Yep!!! Them Below Zero MN winters can CHILL YOU RIGHT TO THE
BONE BABY!!! Anyone from Southern California who comes here in the Summer &
decides to move here permanently better SERIOUSLY RETHINK THAT DECISION!!!
'Cause they're gonna have one EXTREMELY UNPLEASANT ICY COLD SURPRISE when
Winter comes around!!!!
Rhanks..I sure like the old 351too...That F250 is a tough old bastard.
Gotta get some serious front end work, ball joints, axle joints, etc done
before ol MN winter kickes in...damn thing has made it for many years and
many beatings and Iguess it's time to give her the tlc she so rightly
deserves...lol
All brands of vehicles suck, that's why I'm a mechanic who works on most
all brands, foreign and domestic. Been doing it for 30 years
professionally. I do hate working on my own stuff though unless it's on a
fun project. Like on this plow truck, I'm happy it runs and plows. When it
breaks, I'll fix it.
my 88 f-150 the frame is bolted together on one side bent on the other side
almost no floor in it on the drivers side has a 300 v6 with an auto tranny
sometimes she shifts my herself cause of the frame cause the tranny linkage
is messed up. but she'll out plow any dodge or chevy any day of the week
@weiserbud67 Thanks much...she get's the job done! It does run real strong.
It can get 60 below here in MN or even more, usually only 10-12 or so days
when it is close to -20 or so in a winter! Sorry so slow getting back to ya!
The old Ltd wagons were cool and dependable. The Ford RV's with the 460's
had some serious balls for a RV unlike most RV's. Just got done doing a
water pump in one of them a while back. Suprised me how powerful it was!
I think you need to pump it and set the choke lol. (For those who are quick
to correct any minor comment mishap I do understand it is fuel injected and
doesn't have a choke of an accelerator pump. It's sarcasm).
I don't really know...maybe they were just trying to use up the old stock
carbs for awhile? I have see quite a few of the ones with the 302's though.
On trucks I kinda prefer the 351 for the extra 25 ponies though.
Don't think I even tried her that day was too cold. I think 11 below was
the high that day...lol We usually only use the buick for errands around
town and to haul our trash to our dumpster up front by the shop.
Rusty...cool...lol I call this one Greta! -11 F was the high that day...she
was a bit stiff. This one has never failed to start for me either but it
was tough that day for some reason. Damn tough trucks though!
I used to have one of those with the 6.9 on a plow truck...heads
fried...very spendy to repair! Yup those Fords sure can take a beating
though! I love our old plow truck...really can plow the stuff!
Not too bad. Fuel-injection always helps in cold weather. I can't help but
think that it should run better than it is, even though it's cold. Good
spark plugs and wires, distributor?
Are you familiar with Dave from Dave's Farm? He has an '87 F-250 4X4 with a
6.9 diesel in it, He made a video tribute to it, Man!!! He really drives
the shit out of it!!!
I know what the ignition is like. I have my 91 the freaking thing seems to
like to freeze and not move when its cold. Mine is a plow truck 351w 5
speed. It is a beast.
Thanks to another fellow Minnesotan! It has a 351 V-8 fuel injected engine!
If you are ever in the area we would be glad to give you a ride! Best
wishes!
