Chef Uwe Rudnick makes an a quick and easy version of one of Germany's most popular dishes, Geschnetzeltes, (tender meat in a creamy mushroom sauce) ...
It looks very delicious, but please don't use this Maggi or Knorr stuff. I
only make Geschnetzeltes from scratch without all those artificial flavor
enhancers. First you talk about the healthy sunflower oil and then you add
Maggi, that's just wrong...
+Easy Cooking With Easy Recipes the reason for producing this video is this:Many Americans are unfamiliar with the products that GermanDeli sells in its German grocery store in the USA. Some of these videos are designed to show how these easy mixes work. We produced the instructions to help those who like to use mixes because they don't have time to prepare multi-step original recipes. Here is the "classic" version of the dish: https://youtu.be/bqeuQVVvt1s
+Easy Cooking With Easy Recipes - GermanDeli sell "Fix" products by Maggi and Knorr. Our American consumers were asking how they are used. Chef Uwe was showing them. Here is the "Classic" version of this dish: https://youtu.be/bqeuQVVvt1s
+Amanda Nieman It is Maggi or Knorr "Geschnetzeltes" a quick and easy version of one of Germany's most popular dishes, Geschnetzeltes, (tender meat in a creamy mushroom sauce) using products available at //www.GermanDeli.com Recipe:Use Maggi or Knorr brand Geschnetzeltes. For each package use about 1/2 pound meat (Pork, chicken breast, or turkey breast). Slice the meat into thin strips and set on a dish. Add the meat strips (chicken, turkey, or pork).Sauté the meat until lightly browned. (Cook through, but don't overcook the meat.)Remove the meat from the pan and set aside. To the pan drippings add the sliced mushrooms.Sauté the mushrooms until tender.Add about 1 cup to 1 1/2 cups of water to the pan with the mushrooms. Add the contents of one package of Fix (Maggi or Knorr). Stir until the sauce is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.Add the cooked meat to the mushroom/sauce mixture.Cook very briefly. Life in Germany - Ep. 37: Sam Cooks Kartoffelsalat!
I think the number one thing you should know while watching this video is that a recipe that's supposed to take roughly 15 minutes took me more like 2 hours.
Fun fact: the City I live in (Mönchengladbach) has no Kaufland. The region
I grew up in (Heinsberg, has half as many inhabitants, and that is when you
count the cattle) has three...
+Lee MyersOH yeah, the train line is done, but I already heard rumors that it's probably gonna be closed soon since not enough people use it xDThough that really doesn't help with my problem... going ANYwhere by train in germany is ridiculously expensive. I can ask my mom (who still lives in Heinsberg) to come pick me up, go shopping in Heinsberg with me, drop me off at home and then go back, and it will still be cheaper than going by train.
+Atl essa Mönchengladbach has the Real HQ right, no wonder there is no Kaufland. Is the train to Heinesberg finished last time I was there they were still working on it.
I really don't mean to be hating but once I saw this Chinese movie, with
this Chinese cook dude, who got all this disrespect by his daughters, long
story short he'd have chopped about 15 of these onion sacks by the time you
came back down the stairs... into slices of the exact same width down to a
nanometre. ;-)
