That you don't care what comes next, you are okay with this being it, and,
I find that extremely brave to say, and an amazing thing to be THERE in
one's life. I am not, I am far from it, and I want to, and I could be so
much more. Remember how 10 felt before he regenerated? Screaming and sad
and angry all at once, torn apart and screaming that he could be so much
more, SO MUCH MORE! And then "I don't want to go"... that is where I am. I
could do so much more and I am not ready for this to be it.
College was a great time for me, I had some loose friends, ones I knew
enough but didn't hang out with really, but my scholarship got knocked to
almost nothing, and my girlfriend left me, and it was a devastating time
for me. I never quite recovered and so I left college, and went on a
downward spiral. Then years later got into another relationship, long
distance, but was engaged, it was more or less 3 years long before it all
officially ended. But, at the end you say something here (continued)
As "funeral potatoes" are a very Mormon thing, and you briefly mentioned
going through a faith crisis, I was just curious to know if you grew up
LDS, or if you picked up that cultural reference from a friend. (I was a
very devout Mormon until I went through my own faith crisis my last
semester of college.)
You should consider submitting to some international festivals too. I know
there is a festival in the arsehole of nowhere, Ireland where I live that
is specifically for short films and while that one may not be worthy of
consideration :D there have to be a few out there that are at least worth
looking into.
The director and I have talked a bit back and forth on this and we're
really hoping to submit it to some festivals before letting it free into
the world. It's a small piece, really but it has a lot to say in its
20-minute run time and I'd like to share that as much as possible.
This may seem a bit of an odd question given you've just started shooting
but I'm just curious as to your plans for the finished product. Do you plan
to just make it available for purchase online or do you hope to submit it
to some festivals down the line as well?
just bought it on kindle. thank you! it's great! that kind of person who
saved my life is my boyfriend. my whole "teenies" were rather terrible ...
till last summer :) can't wait to see it!

I have been to three funerals in the past year and Funeral Potatoes were
present, en masse. Please note, all the funerals took place in Utah
County... so that may be saying something... nevertheless, the tradition
lives on.
Also good after funerals...hence the name! Funeral potatoes, ham, salad and
rolls! And yours look extra yummy! Might wanna share your recipes with the
Relief Society! I'm making these this weekend! Thanks for the video!
because this is what a lot of mormon people would bring after a funeral. i
think its a pretty old recipe, so i dont think its practiced too much
anymore. i could eat these for breakfast lunch and dinner everyday!
I have been looking for this recipe forever.. but am used to having it with
white onion verses chives/green onion.. thinking of using both.. one for
more flavor/texture and one to add color thanks for sharing
Oh man, what i be missin' out on, Funeral Potatoes,..lol...who cares if i
gain weight, then again this may explain why my cousin is so
hefty,...hehehe....well, least we'll die HAPPY!!! ROCK ON 1kperday!! =D
can i come over and eat those??? that is basically the exact way my
grandmother used to make them, and they are one of the best foods in the
world. kudos to you for making them right!
@1kperday she used to be when all she did was bake and cook, but now shes
old and senile lol. anyway, thanks for the vid, gunna make these for
christmans dinner. cant wait!
@nasteeandsweet Depends on what you're training for. This is ideal for sumo
wrestlers, strongman competitions, Man vs. Food, and famine-resistance
training. :D
Smothered in cream and covered with "neon yellow" cheese, this potato casserole is the perfect comfort food. Despite it's morbid name, Ryan lightens the mood ...

I am aware of the fact that this video is over a year old, but I still
would like to send my condolences....I am sure that time has played a role
in healing the pain of this loss. Gone but not forgotten.......
