Haven't made a video in a while, mostly because I've been failing to make an induction heater that doesn't blow up after a few minutes. Turns out the Mazilli ...
I cannot believe that you got to 400 amps with this low power, and
I also afraid that you current probe is not designed for this high
frequency.
When you have 3,29uF and 71kHz, your capacitive reactance is about 681
milliohms.
So the math is 400A*0,681ohm = 272V.
If you measure 272V at 71kHz across you caps, then it's really 400 amps
sloshing around.
I have a tank circuit with 5uF and 45kHz so it has 707 milliohm reactance,
almost the same :D
I need 550W to get 200A and 2200W for 400A in idle!
Here are measurements of my tank circuit's current and voltage,
with the wattage needed to hold it (empty coil).
Power-W | V | A
8700 | 560 | 800
2200 | 280 | 400
1088 | 210 | 300
550 | 140 | 200
136 | 70 | 100
34 | 35 | 50
Sure, ideal resonance would get stronger and stronger indefinitely, so it all depends on the copper and caps resistance, certainly your tank circuit must be just less lossy.Second thing, what voltage do your switches see? It looks like fullbridge where the high side was replaced by inductors, what happens on 100V then? is it getting higher?
+Durchgebaut Never underestimate the power of resonance. The probe is a proper 'scope current probe and is rated to 100kHz so that value is most certainly correct.
+Emma Emma Thanks :) Hoping to make the driver a bit more robust and try up to 1000W. Theoretically I should be able to push it to maybe double that. Should be fun.
+High Voltage They're IGBTs and a kind of mutant Mazzilli/half-bridge. Schematic and a bit more detail here: //imgur.com/TT94SjnQuite liking this design for the oscillator over a regular half-bridge as I can still use n-channel devices, but no messy high side switching.
nice progress. i see you changed over to some real macho mosfets LOL. if
you build the PLL driver you can actually get it to track tank resonance
and do all the tuning for you as the workpiece heats the frequency changes
a bit. I really need to get off my arse and do some more work on mine but
other projects keep getting in the way, good stuff
+gristc CD4046 can run it for you. you can even do current limiting to do your temperature control, or if you go the MCU route possible phase angle control using SCRs as your input rectification. check how fast the CM300 modules are, you might find you will need a huge capacitance to get the frequency low enough. i have some CM400s and some semikron half bridge bricks and neither of them are fast enough unfortunately :(
+alex993cc1 Hehe, thanks. Looking at something PLL like for the driver, possibly MCU based though as my final goal is to have temperature control over the crucible. I messed up in the commentary though, they're actually IGBTs in the beefier version. IXGN60N60s so I should be able to push a fair bit more power though them once I get proper ZVS switching happening. Then to play with the CM300s. :D

Okay: I bought this thinking these were the original sounds (my mistake
lol). I really want these sounds and physics, but i dont know how to go
about doing this (intsalling them). I downloaded the .rar file, and that is
as far as i could understand the directions. Could you possibly tell me
what to do in a simpler way? I am new to mods.
I am aware of the issue. It is a mediafire website issue. Check back regularly for now. If the link does not self-fix, I will provide an alternate link later this weekend.
This Crompton Thermal Maximum demand Ampère meter had gone open circuit on a feeder circuit. It had been subjected to a severe over current. The thermal ...
messing around with some new tracks that got some low lows in them, song is gorrilla zoe- lost C&S got some good flex out of this one.... re-build comming ...
Haha I knew I'd get some comments on the car seat... Lol anyone that
doesn't kno... This is my TRUE and ONLY daily driver lol, I drive it to
work every day and to pick my son up every day... And I'll be posting up
new updates soon, we are about to tear all this out and do a 4th order
bandpass with 12- 15" XLs on about 40k hahaha....
@YoungGunzBass01 wtf is your problem? there is nothing wrong with SMD, and
the actual SMD members dont post shit like "steve meade will wreck your
shit" thats just dumb little teenage cocksuckers, dont talk shit.
I can only imagine being stuck in front of u in traffic... If ur the whole
nose of the truck is shaking that hard any vehicle in front of u will shake
just as hard if not harder... lol good vid...
DAMN! You even have the grille flexin' Your setting the new bar when it
comes to flex now,ha,ha! Only thing left to flex now is maybe tires and
rims now. And that's if that hasn't been done yet :)
Good luck fixing all the shit that breaks in that car in a couple of years.
hahaha Things aren't supposed to move that much. All the plastic will get
brittle and break off.
Fukin' awesome!!!!!! laughing right now at how CRAZY that was..... & then
the BABY SEAT= LOL FTW!! BASSHEADZ UNITE.... LIVE LOUD & remember IT'S ALL
4 THE LOVE OF BASS
Your flex is telling me one of two things. 1. You have enough spl to make
steve meade look like a sissy. 2. you have not invested in enough sound
deadening, if any
Im liking the car , nice subs man. I definitely would not want to be the
second owner of that car haha
