Their hair was standing up and they thought it was funny. but not too long after the mountain was struck by lightning. they survived but it killed someone else on the mountain.

I'd like to point out that in Jonestown, not all of those people took their lives willingly. On the recordings, you can hear people trying to get out of it and hear painful wails of children dying after drinking that kool-aid concoction. It was horrible and if anyone watches the documentary on it or listens to the recording, do so at your own risk. Some of those people were murdered.... I don't remember who it was that said it, but one investigator called it a mass murder, not a mass suicide...

+TheUpwardSpiral Indeed =(. It's all so very sad.... Even Jim's wife was freaked out about it all. She tried to stop it all. From what I understand, they had to hold her back while the children drank the poison. When the last child drank it, she walked up willingly and drank the poison herself. I can't imagine what it was like to be there... In the audio, when Jim was saying "Mother, Mother, Mother." That was him addressing his wife, if that account was true when I read it. It was all just a big nightmare.... Jim was certainly disillusioned and enjoyed that power.... (I'll hush now...)

Oh yeah im actually listening to the audio right now. Im not disagreeing saying it was 100 percent suicide. I was just saying no one started out saying we are all gonna die. I doubt even jim planned it that way at the start. But being already messed up people which we all are, and having someone give u a way out of that life u thk. It just all spirals and builds on itself and snowballs and turns into this. And by "a way out" im talking about at the very beginning back in the states. Cult leaders are very charismatic and everything they say sounds great lol. Then they separate u and when youre only hearing their side...it just can turn into something like this. Thats sad.

(Sorry for the 'spam'.  To continue) The whole point was Jim wanted to take everyone with him.  Some followed easily with suicide, but some clearly wanted to live.  And there are a few survivors as well.  They discussed how it was in those moments and how people were.  One lady survived to hiding for a day under a bed.  If you were there, they wanting to take everyone with them....  The entire case is incredibly sad.  From the brainwashing to the actual murders.

In the documentary, it's clearly heard that many didn't want to die.  There were also victims with gunshot wounds.  Don't get me wrong, there were suicides there.  But also straight out murders.  And not the ones who were just there to visit (who were also straight up murdered).  People were also found with injection wounds where they were injected with poison while they tried to flee.   I would recommend watching a documentary on it =).  If it's a proper documentary, they will have the recording and details of what was really found after.

GUYS THE ONE WHERE THE EX KILLED HIM THAT HOUSE IS RIGHT BEHIND MY GRANDPAS HOUSE AND I LIVE WITH MY GRANDPA AND OMG THAT HAPPENED WHILE I SPENT THE NIGHT OVER THERE i even threw a football over there and my mother was to nervous to let me climb over and get it.

I worked with Social Workers before and base on my experience accompanying them in the mission areas I think we badly needed RH Bill... pag nandoon ka sa sitwasyon na marami ang dapat tulungan dahil sa mga pamilyang maraming anak at konti na lang ang tumutulong dahil nagsasawa na rin sila sasabihin dapat na talaga ang RH BILL.
