@mikeyramone74: I have a lot of Clower cassette tapes and some CD's. I'm a
big fan of Ray Stevens. Ray, Jerry Clower, and Minnie Pearl did a recording
together in 1986 called "Southern Air". It appears on Ray's album. Jerry
plays the part of the captain while Minnie plays the stewardess. Ray plays
the part of the nervous passenger.
minnie was from the hills a true hillbilly, but sara ophilia cannon was a
true southern LADY,she was from tenn but a true southern bell she was a
very loving person and i miss her she will never be duplicated and im sure
she is a very bright light in heaven
Maybe she knew and just didn't care. She was a Christian in the true word
not one of the Sunday christian as so many are. She was not a stupid woman
but she also knew how to treat people. Try and learn something from her.
I never saw this special on TV. I read about it. Jim was 62 then. It was
two years before his liver transplant. The special was on TV in 1992. The
special was called "Hats off to Minnie Pearl: America Honors Minnie Pearl"
Minnie Pearl, Rod Brassfield, Jerry Clower, Justin Wilson. We will never
see this quality of comedy this side of heaven. They could make you laugh
so hard it hurt without being vulgar. They are now performing in Heaven
Jerry Clower had to be one of the funniest men ever. I heard him a few days
ago on a SIrius comedy channel and I literally laughed so hard I had tears
in my eyes. He was an artist when it came to telling a story.

Minnie Pearl went to her grave believing Jim Nabors was a Christian never
knowing he was gay and a total fraud. Shame on you Jim for never being
honest.
Yea to the orange coat! It's my favorite color, duh. Ditto for Rachael Ray
and Frank Sinatra. Could you imagine Ol' Blue Eyes coming out in that coat?
Johnny Cash's from Arkansas. The Statler Brothers are from Virginia. Jim
Nabors' from Alabama. The lady's from my home state of Louisiana. This song
appeared on Jim Nabors' album For The Good Times. It had songs from his CBS
variety show.
This is great. I remember when Mr. Nabors did this on "The Jim Nabors
Hour". I have this on his "Good Times" album. Sure would like to see his
version from "The Jim Nabors Hour" because I think he was dancing with his
whole group of dancers as he sang it. Brings back good memories.
Jim Nabors danced great, I love the way he's dressed and his voice is under
eatable just spectacular!!!! This is such a great song and he sang it
beautifully and nobody can sing that song better than good o'l' Jim!!!!
Thursday, September 6, 2012--6:10 am CST Jim Nabors had some nice clothes
when he did specials and on his variety show. I believe he was on the Male
Best Dressed List in the 1970s.
