Send it tracked shipping. Credit card companies and skrill and paypal check this info on your website or you provide the info to them when they request it.

Its a great idea Pete but also bear in mind you will have no control over its longevity, in that i mean if you get too many people having bad experiences with customers etc and they start to report the group facebook will pull the pin on the group just like any other group set up on facebook regardless of who you are or what you are achieving. Theres one trying to be set up here in Australia, i wish you success and look forward to seeing how it develops. Good way also to get volume of traffic to your associated websites

Usually face book looks into the activity of the group before they take such action now, if one or 2 people have a bad experience the group administrator should take actions to remove any perpetrators and facebook will not have to intravine. cheers.

+northofport most FB groups have a pending for approval period until the admin approves you - kinda weeds out spammers

It's a good idea I've sold some stuff on public local groups but be careful with shipping and selling coz on PayPal it could be tricky

+MrYnoter coz PayPal have the same buyer protection program so the customer could buy it and bring it back to you but here is the thing some ppl will buy and ship it back and when open its not ur item they get refund u open a case on PayPal and guess what happen .. Nothing !! It happen to me one time . Now I know most ppl not like this but that one cost me $80 so after that I did it couple times but I always have a condition saying if you have a return it should be ship with a signature required at that point I check the item if it's in I take if not I give it back to shipping guy :)

Facebook is booming, trouble is not many are buying. Have been trying to start my own reselling/repurpose biz about year now with not much luck. Have a page on fb also.SalvageGirlHaulingandReCreations. Hope to get out and try my hand at fleamarkets. Thank you for sharing so much great info , tips and tricks!
