American Alligator at Pinnacle Mountain State Park visitor center in Arkansas

While hiking, I came across an American Alligator. He was at the visitor centor right by the Ouachita Trail head by Pinnacle Mountain.

They are so cute when they are babies. The problem is that when they are so small (in the wild) it usually means Momma is somewhere nearby. She has usually lost her cuteness and weighs a couple of hundred pounds (as I am sure you already know). He is hissing at you like he means business. It looks sort of like he is smiling at you!
