This is long, but I really hope you'll watch this if you're joining the Navy or hoping to join the Navy or leaving for Boot Camp soon. **However much you're ...
I really liked your video! Your experience answered a lot of questions that
I had. I plan to enlist into the Navy sometime the end of next
year/beginning of 2016. My question for you is, what were battle stations
like? Do you learn everything before, and is everything easy to remember
when you go to battle stations? Btw thanks for your service :)
Oh wow that's crazy! :) Do they tell you when you're going to boot or can you decide? I've heard both from people....I'm worried b/c my dad doesn't support my decision and I don't wanna sign or talk to a recruiter until I know the exact date my braces come off which is either August or September but I really wanna get things on a roll and get them done this summer...my dad hates that I wanna he in the military but that's too bad because I want to serve our country and I want to make it my career. I'm afraid hell kick me out once I tell him I've talked to a recruiter. So do you think maybe get done what I need to this summer and take the asvab then just tell him the date of my signing after my braces come off?? (He's threatened me before and gotten in my face and talked down to me when I talk to him about me joining the Navy) :(
My experience with my recruiter was pretty unique, actually, since my recruiter is married to one of my good friends from high school, so he and I had actually known each other for several years. He put me at ease, answered all my questions, and I took the practice ASVAB the first time I went. It took me a while to get to MEPS to sign my contract, though, because I have a lot of medical history that we had to track down. I want to say it was about two months from the time I first met with the recruiter until the time I got to go to MEPS. After that, however, I only had to wait 2 months and 2 days to ship out. I signed my contract on September 11 and shipped out November 13!
Haha well I've got one right now acrually! :) When you went to talk to your recruiter for the first time, what was your experience like? And how long was it until you went to boot after signing?
you're asking the question i can't answer!!!! :D battlestations was awesome, and that's all i can say - try to snag a nap in the bathroom at some point during the day beforehand! that's all i can tell you! :)
