thanks for fixing the video. i went to follow along and was like "whoa, how
did she do the scallops". ive only been crocheting for about 2 to 3 years
and have only started branching off into things like this. i dont even have
to buy the rings. our water bottles have a little ring around the neck that
will work great.
Fabulous gift idea! It would look great on a tree too! I also envisaged a
tiny vintage Xmas pic in the centre which could have a felt circle on the
back. Hugs Belinda.x

Update (Dec 2014): I made two wreaths based on this design. With the first I followed the instructions precisely. But I thought the wreath was a bit skimpy. Not too much but not as bulky as I'd like. So I did a variation with the second wreath. What I did was, with the third round, instead of HDC, CH4 throughout, I did 3 TC, CH3 in each of the previous stitches. It took quite a long time and a lot of yarn (2 skeins instead of one). I also wanted to go around a final time with some holiday green (the kind that has gold filigree woven into the yarn) just on the tips, but I did not have enough. It would have taken about 4-5 skeins of this. I won't kid you. It wasn't easy. On top of the amount of time it took, it was psychologically challenging, as it takes a long time before you see any progress. But I did achieve the bulkiness I wanted and was very pleased with the result.
