Well
After that illustration which shows that Quaker State has no idea at all
what the internals of an automobile engine looks like, I don't expect I
will want to be buying their products.
C'mon.... That is the best animation Quaker State can afford to make???
Really?
I didn't know dead engines went to heaven. I thought they just got recycled
or something.

* Before you read this, I just wanted to tell you that I am only kidding
about everything I type below lol... I probably ruined it by initially
saying this, but I wanted to tell you in case someone reads this who gets
pissed off and doesn't read the entire comment lol. I was thinking about
just leaving what I wrote below without the explanation LMAO ;)
What do you mean recycle your oil? You mean I can recycle my oil?
Oh Jesus, I've been dumping my oil in the woods just behind my back yard
for the past 15 years! I guess that's not a wise thing to do huh? The
other thing... You said the Corvette would crush you if it fell on you... I
thought I always heard people saying the Corvette is lightweight? I mean
the body is fiberglass and the FRC is even lighter than the Targa. That
doesn't make sense that it would crush you. I'm sure it would hurt, but
crush you? I don't know about that.
I'll be the first to admit that I am not a very smart person, but at
least I can admit it. So keep that in mind when you read my comment.
Beyond being able to read, write and type thankfully, I wasn't born with
the gift of intelligence. My IQ was tested at 80. I was kindly told by my
doctor to never take illegal drugs because my IQ would drop to the level of
mental retardation, and then I'd have some real problems. It's not my
fault at least. I was born that way :(
All kidding aside, I really appreciate you making this video. I just
wanted to give you a quick laugh ;-) A buddy of mine recently bought a
2004 Corvette, and he'll be very thankful to see this. I'm emailing it to
him after this crazy comment lol. Thanks again.

Oh, I almost forgot... I will subscribe after this comment.
nice video, just changed the oil myself on my 00 c5 for the first time last
month. Every other time I took it to a place but I don't think they let all
the oil drain

OK - insanely stupid question - how in the hell do you measure out .4 of a
quart? Sorry, I know it's a stupid thing to ask, but about to attempt my
first self-done oil change on my subby...
+Valery Vodonos I usually fill my oil filters when I do an oil change. I don't know if it actually makes much of a difference if it is filled or not though. However, when I am at work changing fuel filters on big diesel engines I never fill the filter first. If you will the filter first, you get un-filtered fuel going through the injectors. I can go into how bad that is but then we would have a wall of text. I would think that the same thing could happen with the engine oil too but it would be much less likely to the point where it probably does not matter if you fill the filter or not.
There are many opinions on this. Some say dry can cause a snall air pocket, others say that oil is still covering engine parts even after you drain most of it. Go with what you are comfortable with just as long as you don't ignore oil changes.
+Valery Vodonos I've just never heard of anyone actually filling the filter. There shouldn't be any need to, as the oil filter is used to... well... filter the oil. It shouldn't matter if it's dry or not. Oil will still flow through it just the same so long as you have enough oil in your oil pan..
+steevieg I have done it to every car I've owned in order to prevent dry starts. Unless you overfill the filter, you should be ok for quickly flipping it over. Only at 700 miles but will let you know at first oil change.
+Valery Vodonos I have never done this for any car. Especially since the filter on this car is facing downward, it would just go down to the oil pan and out with your old oil I think. I'm no expert though.
I have a 2008 rmz 250, i just got it. is their a transmition oil and engine
oil? or is it all shared. the fill Is on the clutch cover that I know. let
me know thank you:)
